We were on our way to our hotel when we saw the sign and made a detour to visit.

We do not know anyone buried here, but we do at other National Cemeteries and wanted to pay our respects. There were at least 4 burials going on during our visit and as usual, very efficient. It was 117 degrees and everyone was in full dress uniform, they didn't show how miserable they felt.

The grounds were very neat and no grass and no above ground headstones, but the grounds were very appropriate for the area.

I attended a family friend funeral service at the cemetery and was very pleased with the grounds and the service provided not only to the veteran, but the family members and attendees. The staff of the cemetery came to the service location, of which there are 3 covered pavilions. They arranged for a military color guard and a vfw color guard which both performed flawlessly. It was a tearful ceremony. The grounds are unique because there is no grass, they use a landscape that fits in with the Arizone climate. Also, instead of the usual white small headstone marking each grave, this cemetery provides a plaque in the ground. As a veteran myself, I was humbled to be part of this service and thank all those that work to maintain the grounds.

What a sad way to lay anyone to rest. You get 30 minutes to have your service and good byes. If you're not done, they "the grouchos" sort of let you know it's time, and make it very difficult for family and friends. Sad, sad, sad system.

A gathering of friends to say goodbye they have shelters covered and provide shade and sitting places. Limit services to 1 hour, very well done and assisted by awesome people! Beautifull Military and none Military rights...
