Owner description: Whether you like spinning, flying, dropping, bumping, driving, rocking, or rolling, the rides at Enchanted Island Amusement Park are sure to thrill and delight. If you’re in a leisurely mood, tour the grounds on the C.P. Huntington Train, go back in time on the 50-year-old Encanto Carousel, and rent a pedal boat or canoe.More adventurous riders will also want to take in the spectacular skyline views from the Parachute Tower, crash and splash in the Bumper Boats, and maneuver their own airplane on the popular Red Baron ride.

Where to start?!?
Cons:
First of all, I think everyone employed here hates their job. Not one person was more than a body working the rides. Not personable, didn't smile.. Nothing! They weren't fully staffed and had 1 person working 2+ rides at a time. The park was dead, (a Wednesday morning) which I thought would be a bonus to go at this time for us as children are still at school. No line ups, etc - nope, wrong! There was literally 5 kids on a ride and they wouldn't let them stay on the rides. The one person who did let us stay on seemed annoyed I would have even asked.
Secondly, If your child is shorter than 36" than this is NOT the place to come. Our daughter was maybe a finger width shorter than the line. Some attendants would let her on a ride, the next ride she wasn't aloud on. She was even denied riding a ride AFTER they had let her on. Let her on or don't. But don't break a child's heart by letting them ride once and then denying them afterwards. I get it, she didn't make the exact cut; but if you bend the rules at one ride, do it for them all. The same 5 attendants were working all the rides and there was literally 25 people at the park.
There really isn't a large selection of rides. Most everything the kids can ride on by themselves (especially if taller than 36", with the exception of maybe the carousel unless you feel comfortable letting your child ride alone). I would not recommend adults buying a wrist band. It's definitely a waste of money.
The pigeons everywhere are a huge turn off. Why would anyone in their right mind feed those scavengers?! They are not afraid of people, and heaven forbid you sit down with with food anywhere. The birds would literally flock from random places in the park completely opposite where someone tossed a crumb their way.
Pros: food seemed to be priced reasonably. However, we never ate there, so I cannot attest to the quality of food.
Overall I would not recommend this place to a friend.

“Good place to spend for a day”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

It's a different place to be with kids. It's definitely a place for kids and there is a water features that they can part of and also rides. There is food. Not great restaurants. But it's a fun day to be. It gets busy around noon and afternoon and the shaded seats are taken by the Birthday party reservations. So, be sure to put sun block and wear hats. But it's a large park and even walking it is great. Your kids may get wet. I would suggest going in the am and getting the rides and everything else out of the way. Feed the kids and when it gets super hot, you are out of there. Maybe if you are lucky, the kids will take a nap in the car on the way back.

“Ok for small kids and day outdoors”
Reviewed 14 March 2014

Good for small kids who do not have high expectations. older kids may not be impressed since it lacks big amusements and rides.

Really a local small place good for about 2-4 hours.

Not that much to see and do bui it is in encanto park so a great place to get outdoors with the family.

not for adults

“Perfect for the kids!”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

Mu husband and I took our 7 years old granddaughter here and we all had a great time. It is low-key, and not super-crowded and there are so many fun things for kids. I had a coupon for $2 off a daily ride pass for her, which was only $12. You can decide which ticket option works for you. We were there about 2 hours and the pass was a good deal. She rode and rode and rode different rides. I got a few for myself so I could ride with her, but most rides are limited to kids, no adults, due to their size. There was also face painting, ball toss, where no one loses, a train....tons of fun. W will do it again. This is listed in Forbes magazine as one of the top 12 city parks in the country!

“OK”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

This was definitely just a one time place to go. It was just ok. It was super hot the day we went so I'm sure that had something to do with it just being ok. Seemed pretty run down. Definitely just for smaller children though.
