“Commute to airport”
Reviewed 6 April 2014

Altho' the booking info says the hotel is 'just north' of the airport, that only applies to 'as the crow flies'. The commute to the airport is 10+ miles on busy freeway. The hotel was clean, easy to get to and the breakfast was good, hot with lots of variety.

Recent two night stay- windows don't open but even if they did, wouldn't want to stay there because then you'd hear the roaring freeway outside your door even worse. The handles used to get into and out of the pool and hot tub were loose and dangerous for elderly. Breakfast crowds were swarming the poorly designed breakfast area and the helpers were in slow motion as food ran out. Bed spreads were tattered, worn, very much a flea bag hotel feeling. Only one close restaurant and it is Japanese- very good by the way. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Room Tip: Avoid any room facing the freeway- somewhere less noise facing pool.

be prepared to dance trying to jostle for space in poorly laid out breakfast space and then good luck on getting a table to sit at. ground floor has no view--floor 2 or 3 would have view. room itself was fine with mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv and work desk. beware this hotel still offers smoking rooms so be sure to specify if you don't want a stinky room.

Fine professional staff. Pretty quiet rooms considering next to freeway location. Nice pool, clean room, pleasant breakfast. Here are some more characters to make the trip advisor folk happ: kjdueksoifkakluyeafjhwaleuh

The hotel itself was nice, clean. But as others have stated, the highway noise is excessive. Knowing this after reading revues, I specifically requested a room away from the highway. When that request was not honored and I voiced my concern, I was told my location was far enough from the highway. When asked to speak to manager, I was told none was available. On my third attempt with another employee, I was told that too many people request that so nothing else was available even though I was checking in during afternoon hours. I felt staff was very unresponsive and uncaring. Breakfast was good, but food area was much too small.

We stayed here for 4 nights on a trip to see my son graduate from college. we looked at many motels before choosing this one, and we based our choice on price, location and star rating.I cant say i was disappointed, but i did expect a higher standard from best western in a nutshell, the bed linen was stained with what appeared to be blood, was told only suites could have a mini fridge and wasnt able to get change for soda machine at front desk and the towels are very rough. the salt water/heated pool was very nice and loved the jacuzzi. the hot breakfast was a very welcome amenity, very nice to be able to eat a hot meal for free without having to leave the building. we did have typical door key malfunction on the second night there, but this happens everywhere. these are only minor issues, but for a 3-4 star motel, i just expect more. I would still recommend this hotel even tho we had minor issues because overall, we were very pleased

Spring break and baseball spring training are very busy times for the Phoenix area so trying to
find a hotel that is in a good location and has affordable rates is difficult. This hotel has a good rate for what you get, don't expect luxury. This property caters to families and large groups. The
location has been reported as being hard to find and rooms facing the freeway are noisy,
both of which are true. Breakfast is ok, not great, but it is included and convenient.

The property should consider including refrigerators and do something about the awful congestion at the front door area to the lobby, cars and taxis are double parked while waiting
to check in.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor and room at the back of the hotel to avoid extra noise.
