If you just need a homebase in Phoenix, this hotel will do nicely. Good size and comfortable suites. Excellent breakfast buffet. The light rail is right out front, but you should probably have a car, as there is very little around the hotel, and it's not the nicest area. Oh, and the layout of the parking garage is so strange, that it's worth mentioning here! But there was plenty of free parking for hotel guests.

Nice room, pleasant staff. We woke up one morning on the 6th floor and a homeless person was sleeping on the floor outside of our room. Told the front desk and after about 10 minutes they went up to make sure that 1. he was still alive and 2. Ask him to leave. When he did leave we were standing outside waiting for the shuttle and he was still allowed to walk around the property for awhile and then urinated on the front door. The staff was nice enough about it but did not really address our security concerns. The hotel is not really near anything to do or places to eat. The light rail is ok and their own shuttle is convenient for rides to the convention center.

Room Tip: Try Switch. An excellent restaurant within walking distance. Good food at a great price and a fun ha...

Room was wonderful. A true 1 bedroom suite with a separate bedroom with flat screen TV and a living room with leather couch and another TV. Wetbar with sink, fridge and microwave very convenient. Small balcony was a bonus. Beds super comfortable and bathroom spacious. Hilton bath amenities are always high quality. Housekeeping provided nice little touches like coffee creamers in the fridge already chilled. Building itself was very dramatic - 11 stories with a completely open atrium in the center. Glass elevators - very nice. Was not aware of indoor pool but would definitely take advantage of it in the future. Got a great rate on hotwire. Terrific location in the heart of Phoenix with several dining options within walking distance and right on the light rail if that is a consideration. Hope I can stay there again soon!

Only one significant negative - parking. Charge is $11 a night which is completely outrageous for Phoenix. However there are a handful of streets nearby where you can park for free overnight which is what we did and had no problems. Nearby shopping plazas are other options but I would be a little worried about being towed from them.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better views

I was overall very pleased with my stay here, but I do wish it was more conveniently located. It's about 2 miles from downtown and they offer a free shuttle service there and back, but unfortunately there is not much to do right around the hotel. It is also very close to the light rail, so that is a plus.

The hotel itself is very pretty and I really liked the layout. The pool and bar areas were very nice and the room was very comfortable. I did not drive, so I did not have to pay for parking, but I do know the parking charge is kind of steep. They also charge for internet, but again I did not use that.

For lunch or quick dinner, I would highly recommend "Honey Bear's BBQ' that is just to the south of the hotel. Yum!

This property is centrally located in Phoenix making most areas in town easily accessible. Your ride to and from the airport should take about 15 minutes. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious, well furnished and tastefully decorated. You get a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, so you can store your favorite fruit, chocolate, cheese and beverage. The bar has a relaxed atmosphere and the food is good. Your breakfast is OK, your servers are great. Colleagues and myself both experienced slowness with the internet connections, especially during evening hours. If you are in Phoenix, and the hotel is not booked up, you should try it out. You, like myself, will become a return customer.
