I went here in October for a mommy getaway alone and it was wonderful! The Staff was amazing, I stayed in a Valencia Casita which was great, right next to the pool where I spent all of my time. The guys at the pool were constantly filling my glass with yummy citrus water, and brought me a menu at lunch time for great poolside meals. The food was amazing, I didn't eat at the restaurant but enjoyed appetizers and drinks outside in the beautiful courtyard in the evenings. had great roomservice meals out on my patio for breakfast!!!. I can't wait to bring my husband and celebrate our Anniversary!! wonderful staff and wonderful service

Room Tip: Valencia casitias away from the pool

This is just a beautiful resort, the grounds are lovely, the staff is excellent. We had a corner room, and our room was huge. I like the fact that all the rooms are a little different. This is not a cookie cutter resort. Loved the eucalyptus steam room and spa. This place has a little bit of everything, history, charm, beautiful views, great food, nice spa, beautifully decorated rooms. I would love to go back and spend more time there!

Room Tip: corner suites are very large and quiet

We have been very lucky to stay in some top hotels around the world, but we loved this hotel! We drove to Phoenix from Vegas, the drive was really nice with really pretty views. When we pulled up to the hotel it was just as pretty. The valet guys make a great first impression for the hotel. Throughout our stay they could not do enough for us. They remember what you had planned that day, asked what you thought, can give you recommendations for places to go. Throughout the hotel all staff were hard working, friendly and gave a relaxed yet professional service. You pay a daily resort fee which covers the normal wifi, newspaper etc but also covers tips for valet, house keeping & bellman. We thought this was great as you don't need to worry about having cash on you all the time but the service was so good we left a bit more anyway. Our room was amazing. So much space, loved the decor, comfortable bed & furniture. The bathroom is lovely, great light, large bath and separate shower. Our patio went out to a little courtyard which in the evenings had fire pits lit. There are a few little courtyards and other places to sit around the hotel apart from your patio or the bar. Even though the hotel is not huge the pool area seemed quite small so thought it would be a problem getting a lounger but no. The pool and jacuzzi are open 24 hours. Towels are already laid out for you, staff will come and greet you, bring you iced water and a parasol if you require shade. You can order food and drinks at the poolside or escape the sun and sit at the table and chairs. Their onsite bar was really nice, relaxed atmosphere with live music most nights and really pretty patio area. You have to get the vodka caramel hot chocolate and go sit by a fire pit when it cools down in the evening. The T-Cooks restaurant is a must! Their food was amazing and offer indoor or outdoor seating. We didn't book any treatments in the spa but used the facilities to change before our flight, then wished we had longer in there. The only downside to this hotel is you want to stay at the hotel and not get out and explore! In general I think you would struggle without a car in Phoenix / Scottsdale. We got a taxi out a couple of evenings but everything is quite spaced out where ever you stay. If we go back to Phoenix I wouldn't stay anywhere but here. They have the perfect balance of luxury with no stuffy-ness.

We had the best experience - amazing view from our room and we were treated so well! From the minute the valet parked our car until we left, the entire staff was so kind and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the grounds - so quaint and beautifully manicured. Also, our room was wonderful! Again, it just felt so special and we had a view of Camelback from our balcony. We hope to come back again soon!

This place was above my expectations. Nothing could have prepared me for its charm. We arrived very late. We had a cheese and fruit platter delivered to our room and ate outside by a fire pit. The room was perfect with a nice private patio directly outside. The bathroom was large with huge tub and big steam shower. Fully stocked mini bar and plenty of free water provided. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Served in a delightful outdoor courtyard. Great children's breakfast menu - the best I have seen. Good service too. All in all a fantastic choice. The hotel is so prettily laid out with courtyards, fountains and soft furnishings. Only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer.

Hayes Executive Travel had a wonderful agent retreat this past weekend at the Royal Palms. Everything from the moment of check-in until the very end the service was excellent. T-Cooks restaurant onsite had the most amazing food. This hotel is the perfect place. The property itself was gorgeous, I loved how casitas and villas were all a little different and so comfortable. Room 122 is the Honeymoon Suite and I would highly recommend this for any kind of occasion. The room is so spacious, private patio area with fireplace, huge bathroom etc....Best place to go...

Royal Palms is a gem of a small resort right at the foot of Camelback Mountain and on the doorstep to shopping rich Scottsdale. Though you won't want to leave the property, all of the amenities of Scottsdale are just minutes away. Good pool, spa and on-site restaurant with a cool old-style cocktail lounge. This place is not new so enjoy the historic ambiance. Some room amenities you expect at this price are not to be found (esp. in the bath). Staff is very service oriented and friendly. It all comes at a pretty steep price but so does everything else in this zip code. I'll choose Royal Palms versus the mega-resorts just up the road!

Room Tip: We had a casita and it is of a fair size but nothing anyone would call spacious.
