“Lovely property, comfortable rooms”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

This was our first time at the resort. When we checked in, we were told we had been upgraded...to the Presidential Suite! Needless to say, we were in awe of our surroundings, which was an apartment with 3 private patios, living room with fire place and dining room, kitchen, bedroom with fire place and a large bathroom. It was very elegant! The property is lovely. You feel you are in a spanish hacienda. It is a very different feel from the Marriott at Camelback which gives you a feeling of being in a village. The Royal Palms is a more private atmosphere. We enjoyed both resorts very much.

Arizona has a deserved reputation for first class hotels and resorts. Now, at or near the top of our list is the Royal Palms resort and Spa in Phoenix. My wife and I have always enjoyed their restaurant-T Cooks-,but decided to stay for a couple of days and have dinner over Christmas.. It is a stunning resort with great food. comfortable, well appointed rooms, an interesting history, calm, inviting grounds, all pulled together nearly perfectly from check-in to check-out by the outgoing, welcoming, and smiling staff everywhere. The staff takes an excellent resort up a notch. We'll be back

Green Features: a clearly commun icated priority, well done. Guests are aware of their options and the resort's commitment

We had a business meeting a chose the Royal Palms as the venue. The service and the food were absolutely outstanding which prompted me to send an email to our meeting contact of thanks.

The grounds are gorgeous. When we return to Phoenix, we will be back to this venue. First night's dinner was held at T. Cooks and the 12 attendees raved about their food. Restaurant has an outstanding wine list.

Hotel and restaurant are highly recommended.

The Royal Palms is the most unique hotel I have ever stayed. Very Mediterranean but yet has a very cozy and warm feeling. I escaped the weather in Dallas to this gem of a hideaway. The service is first class I really like the fact that all the tips are included in a daily service fee. Fire pits and fire places are very inviting with very comfortable seating. My room is a nice large suite and would accommodate a family with privacy. I am disappointed in the blow dryers as they are old and the roll up cord is I pain. Otherwise this place is incredible. I have been to Phoenix many times and have wanted to stay here, it was worth the price! I know why Presidents have been guest here. Spa service awesome and T Cooks the best!

My girlfriend & I had a relaxing 3 days at Royal Palms!! Great service & food + drinks. Enjoyed a couples massage at the alvedora spa; very relaxing & special!! Will definitely be back to this special hideaway on the edge of Scottsdale & Camelback Mtn...
Fabulous grounds & resort layout!!

Room Tip: Choose a casita; great for romance with fireplace. Only downside is poor lighting in bathroom.

We will be leaving tomorrow morning after a 7 nights stay. What a WONDERFUL resort in every possible way! From the friendly and helpful valet attendants to the front desk to concierge to the restaurant staff and cleaning staff you won't find better! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and so well landscaped with orange trees and grapefruit trees, palm trees, cactus, wild rabbits roaming in the back area on the grass and hummingbirds which I love, small courtyards with little water fountains throughout, a reflecting pool that also has fountains in it, a swimming pool with an outdoor jacuzzi that we didn't use but was lovely, a nice gym my husband used, a spa that we did not have time to use but many were going in there. We got the suite with a huge bath tub in the room and it was very relaxing. Our room was also situated in a semi-private beautiful courtyard area with shallow fountain pools and every night they light fires throughout the entire resort in all the little cozy areas you can wander in and out of as you sit by the fires on cushioned benches and chairs and just soak in the ambience of it all. The food in their restaurant, T. Cooks is TO DIE FOR! It may be on the pricey side but even after dinners I have had around the world, I seriously think it was one of the best ever. Every little detail is thought of here. They are also a very easy drive from the airport, conveniently located only 1 1/2 miles from Scottsdale and all the Old Town area as well as only minutes back down Camelback Road where the resort sits from a top rated mall and plenty of wonderful restaurants where we ate as well. This is a 5 star resort for a reason and you won't regret staying here!

The first impression was this is a five star resort. It starts right from the time you are met at the lobby. The service is great, the rooms are very nice and there is free Wifi. I was attending a business meeting and the conference rooms were great. As a getaway this would be the place. Location is great and the view of Camelback Mountain is outstanding.
