This was a wonderful experience. The hotel is intimate, beautiful, and the staff very courteous. TJ Cook's provided a beautiful dinning experience, with both atmosphere and service. The meal was delicious. As we were celebrating a wedding anniversary, the complimentary dessert at the end of our meal was a wonderful touch to end the evening.

Great place to stay with a touch of authentic Spanish, Mediterranean, Hacienda style five star hotel ambience. Truly enjoyed the atmosphere even in 107 degree weather. Phoenix and Scottsdale are great places to visit. Don't forget to go 2 hours north to Sedonna--great place to
visit.

Room Tip: View of Camelback Mountains, second floor in the Spa rooms. Rooms are very sound proof.

Just got back from girls weekend in Scottsdale and this time we stayed at Royal Palms. Great room for 3 ladies and genuinely nice staff. Jennifer at Reception, Jim our favorite valet/bellman and the restaurant and bar staff were all very friendly and helpful. Dinner at TJ Cook's was divine, the Pacific Black Cod and the roast beet salad was exceptionally done and well presented. It was rather busy property for June heat, but we enjoyed it.

First, I would like to compliment the Royal Palms for their on site restaurant and wedding planning services. From where I stand, that is the only praise I can give. I was a guest at a wedding this past weekend, and to say that the reservation team was unprofessional, inconsistent and completely overwhelmed would be an understatement. I was incredibly disappointed, continually, by their over promise-under deliver form of service, but first allowing me to cancel a reservation with no penalty and then coming back, not to me, but to the bride and saying that it wasn't allowed, cause undue stress to everyone involved, and on top of that, not having a room ready for myself and another wedding guest until 5 minutes before the wedding started, after both that and late check-out was promised was really just reinforcement that they are not prepared for large events & parties. Hopefully the front of house service catches up to their restaurant and wedding planning services soon, otherwise I foresee many disappointed brides and guests.

This gem of the desert has lost its luster. This is the sixth summer in a row my boyfriend and I have spent a long weekend at the Royal Palms, and this year the entire weekend certain things just seemed "off". It started with the check-in process, the desk had mixed up our names so our reservation could not be found, a wedding party was trying to check in behind us, and anyone that has been to this resort knows the reception area is not very large, so it became quite crowded very quickly. It seemed things went downhill from there, we just did not have the same feeling from the resort as we have every year in the past. They have started charging a parking fee on top of the resort fee, the customer service is not as attentive as it once was. I have a feeling it has been taken over by a new management company who seems to be more about profit than customer service. This makes me very sad, as coming here is always something we look forward to every summer. The pool was not the pristine shimmering pool of the past, and the grounds themselves were not as well taken care of either. The twice-daily housekeeping did not happen. I hope the management decides to go back to the Royal Palms of the past otherwise this may be my last visit, unfortunately.

What a beautiful little oasis! We loved the tasty mojitos and lunch by the pool! The pool staff were very friendly and attentive, constantly refilling water and providing more delicious drinks. The room was very comfortable, but would have loved to still have the option of using the fireplace at night, for the ambiance it provides. Beautiful grounds and gardens enhance the beautiful setting. Beautiful view of Camelback Mountain. The lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious!

If I had the money I would live at this resort year round. It was quiet, romantic, and peaceful. The service is impeccable. I have never felt so welcomed. Everyone from the bell staff to the pool staff was on their "A" game.
