Chose this hotel just to earn points as a Starwood member. On a map it looks like it's quite close to the city center, but in fact you have to take a taxi to get there. Taxis in Phoenix are very expensive. Paid $45 to get to the hotel from the airport. The Botanical Garden is $55 away.
I was very disappointed with the "mountains view" as they are far away from the building - different from what you can see on their website.
Besides, the balconies are nasty - all in birds' droppings.
The weather happened to be cold, so I didn't use the pools, but I noticed that the water slide was not working, even though at the beginning of my stay it was warmer and some people were sunbathing.
I hated that breakfast in Club Lounge was only until 9 am. Definitely too early for me. Choice of food in the evenings very poor.
