Great place to stay and staff were excellent . Food was well cooked and service was fast. The staff seemed to enjoy their work. No shortage of the staff willing to offer their help without being asked. Room was clean and large enough for two.

1 BR Condos are very nice - Perfect for two adults and child. This place has something for everyone in the family - We will return during warmer months - Would have been more fun for our son if there were more children to play with - peg this to our vacation time-frame.

Great place to stay - I have stayed in regular suite rooms in past and also the casita suites. If you have a chance to upgrade to a casita suite it's really worth the extra money. it's like a little apartment with small kitchen, spacious living room, and bedrooms upstairs. The hotel has great pools many choices including the lazy river.
nice home away from home.

Room Tip: if you can upgrade to casita suite, well worth the money

This is a family resort, but we did fine there as a couple. Food is pricey, beds soft. Carol, the concierge was fantastic--knowledgeable, personal but professional, and charming. So easy to get anywhere you want to go from here!! Heating/Cooling unit was noisy. Nice water park.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite higher rather than lower, with a view of Squaw Peak (recently renamed Piestewa Peak...

This was my first stay at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak. My stay was less than expected based on the reviews and my experience at the sister property (Tapatio Cliffs). To start with, I'm not sure why they charge a resort fee when all of the amenities aren't available. The poolside bar at the main building was not open. Also, the Hole in the Wall restaurant was closed all week. The only real food option is Rico's, which is a relatively long walk from the main building. My wife and I wanted a drink while waiting for our room to be cleaned. There is no place on the main property to get a drink. REALLY???? Rooms are clean and well appointed. However, in the future, I'll probably look elsewhere.

Plenty of pool space for all to enjoy right at the hotel room door...the river park is an added bonus just a short walk away.....The spa - fitness facility is well equipped....Our room was all you could ask for and more and loads of movie choices... Location - everything seemed to be just a short drive away...max distance was the Westgate mall at 20 minuets or so....

The property was good and it is located within a mile of a bunch of running/mountain biking trails. I think Hilton should promote the nearby trails more. This resort is not in Scottsdale but it was a fairly easy 20 minute drive to Scottsdale or Tempe. It is also close to the canal and attendant bike path. However the bike path is paved going north, not so much going south. The pools were nice and the food at the pool restaurants was OK. The staff were unfailing helpful and polite. Most of all, the value for the rooms was excellent. Our rooms had a small porch, bedroom, bathroom and separate sitting room. The fitness room was above average.
