Our savior, the Maricopa Manor and its generous and kind owner!! I and my girlfriend were stuck in Phoenix during one of the worst storms in decades and EVERY hotel in the city was booked. It was already 6 PM and after 2 hrs of searching we'd given up on our search for our lost luggage. My girlfriend said "What about a B&B?" So on my oh-so-trusty smart phone I googled "bed and breakfast" and Maricopa seemed like an interesting place. I called around 8 PM and the owner answered and agreed to let us stay! He even was kind enough to give us the "library" suite at a discount because of the late check in. Great food, service and decor. This place is awesome!

I stayed at Maricopa Manor with my boyfriend for a belated Valentine's Day getaway. Everything about the place was beautiful and very charming! I never would have expected such a gorgeous place to be just down the road from the likes of the Denny's on 7th and Camelback! Jeff was very friendly and attentive from the start, making sure my boyfriend and I had everything we needed, and recommended some great-sounding restaurants a short distance from the B&B. While exploring the grounds and also our room (we stayed in the Manor Suite), my boyfriend kept raving and marveling at how nice everything was, and all the little touches that made this place stand out above a chain hotel (namely the super comfy robes in the suite, and the spa and all the fountains outside). All the beautiful fountains around the grounds really helped mask the sounds of the city around us, and when we were in our suite, seldom a noise was heard. The "breakfast in a basket" idea is fantastic, both the food and the concept. Being able to eat a tasty, filling breakfast right in your room without even having to get dressed was wonderful. We also very much enjoyed the whirlpool tub, which our particular suite had. The king-sized bed was so comfortable, too! Thanks, Jeff, for providing such an unexpected and beautiful B&B right in the middle of town!

The Maricopa Manor was a delightful suprise at the end of our trip to the Southwest. The cositas are really more like guest houses than hotel suites, and each one comes with an astonishing number of unexpeced extras. The grounds are beautiful, and include a pool with a fountain, and everywhre we turned we found more unexpected suprises. There are sculptures and statues in the most unexpected places. Jeff, the owner, was very friendly when he checked us in, and he let us stay on and use our room an the grounds unil late afternoon when it was time to leave for the airport. This is one of the nicest places in which I have stayed!

We had a very positive experience staying here for two nights in late March. One family member stayed in the Library Suite. A family of three stayed in the Siesta Suite (King + Twin). This place is in a centrally located historic neighborhood. We could feel ourselves breathe a sigh of relief when turning off the long, straight, mall-laiden streets into this quiet, almost elegant but certainly peaceful area. The Inn is made up of a large stucco residence with smaller units grouped together along one side of the large property. The owner (now to be the previous owner, apparently, if one reads the other recent post) is super friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was top notch B&B fare and we enjoyed it outside on the lovely grounds. A notebook of local restaurant menus/reviews provided by the Inn was very helpful. The main residence has been updated tastefully. The Library Suite, which is inside, reflects this. We noted some deferred maintenance in the Siesta Suite, but it was very large and comfortable. We would definately stay here again. Avoiding the big chain thing was a priority for us and we were pleased with this alternative.

Great large quiet room......library suite. Small but charming pool.
Owner a bit garrulous.....i.e. chatty. He is retiring within 2 mos........new owners coming in.
We were there during palm tree trimming.......rather noisy to say the least, but nevertheless an overall positive experience.

Very comfortable and stylish accommodation, lovely to have breakfast served (at the time the guest specifies) to the bedroom where it can be enjoyed on the patio or inside - it was especially nice, after a long flight, to be able to take a moonlight dip in the outdoor pool - the temperature was just right and such a welcome respite from the fierce Phoenix sun. The accommodation was very well equipped with its own seating area, kitchenette and bathroom, with a thoughtful array of extras such as fresh fruit and cookies - everything was spotlessly clean and the host was so nice. We stayed in the Victorian Suite but there is a range of other themed rooms to choose from and all at a reasonable cost.
