On an Arizona road trip with old friends and stopped to spend one night in Prescott, at a hotel close to historic Whiskey Row. The Motor Lodge owners were very cordial and it was obvious that they take a real interest in making their hotel the best it can be. The rooms, there are 12 of them, were originally individual weekend cabins built in 1910, some connected with a common roof and a carport. It later evolved into a motel, the evolution of which is chronicled by a series of old photos that the Owners were eager to share.

The room had a gas fireplace and was quite comfortable, even though it was below freezing outside. The mattress was a little soft for my taste, The room decor was eclectic 50's, a nice look. All in all, a nice place to stay.

Only stayed one night but it was very nice. When I arrived, the owners offered me a glass of wine or a beer- which was lovely! The rooms are all decorated with a 50s/retro nod with a touch of mountain design. The owners are still in the process of renovating- I would like to go back after the teeny tiny showers and bathrooms are re-done. My room had a gas fireplace and a king bed. HBO was also available. Each room had a little patio in front of the unit. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely.

We stayed at the Motor Lodge for one night but wish we could have stayed for longer. We booked it as a stopover on our way from Palm Springs to the Grand Canyon after reading the other TA reviews.

The room we had was lovely and had a great fireplace that kept us nice and cosy. It was beautifully decorated and had so much character compared with the chain hotels we had stayed in. The best thing about this place were the people who worked their. Brian and Joe. Just after we arrived Brian brought across some beers and took the time to chat and get to know us a little. He also gave us some great recommendations for dinner that night. The next morning we went across to check out and Joe went to great trouble to get us somewhere to stay at the Canyon. I also got a haircut from their friend who had shown up to cut theirs! How many hotels can you say that about?

All in all this was great experience and Prescott is a great place to spend some time.

We went to Prescott for the Christmas courthouse festivities in early December 08. We found this hotel on-line and WOW! It's really comfortable, the beds and linens were perfect, perfect, perfect. The hosts/owners of this place went out of their way to make us feel like we were part of their family too. But the best thing about this place is how unique it is. Definitely not your standard boring hotel room. Everything was unique and quirky and clean!! We will definitely be going back.

What a great find! The hotel is restored with hip decor, and the location cannot be beat- a five minute walk from Whisky Row. The bed was insanely comfortable! We loved it and will stay again on our next visit to Prescott.

After arriving in Prescott with my husband and mother-in-law for a couple days to relax and bum around, a local recommended that we check out The Motor Lodge for a great place to stay that's just within blocks of the town square where everything is going on. We went to the Motor Lodge to be greeted by the two most charming gentlemen who immediately made us feel welcome and at home with a drink and great conversation. Our room was exactly what we were looking for: two bedrooms, a delightful relaxing living room, and a cozy kitchen that met all of our needs perfectly. The beds were unbelievably comfortable - a little bit of heaven on earth! Unique, Fun, Classy & Comfortalbe describes it all - the rooms as well as the owners. We miss Joe and Brian already. We highly recommend you to stay here - this beats any chain hotel by a long shot. You will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back here!

Nearby downtown lovely at night for the holidays. Great for a stroll. We had a higher priced room. Good lord were the beds comfy. I even followed up with the owner later on to get info on purchasing same blankets. You do need to ask the desk for a hair dryer and iron and board. Cute decor, right down to the rubber ducky on the tub ledge. I've never stayed in a motel, but this joint felt soo homey, though Nothing like any home I've ever lived in. And every interaction w/Joe the owner, from phone to email, was a laugh fest. I never even got to meet him but will miss his fabulous sense of humor.
