Rented the two largest cabins for two nights with a hiking group. This place was beautiful, accommodations were wonderful and so much more than expected. Friendly and helpful staff too! I can not say enough good things about this place, wish I could have stayed a week!

Just got back from a long weekend at JWR and have nothing but great things to say about it. Stayed in the Casa Grande with my family as a base to visit Prescott and to just relax. The cabin was rustic, just the way we wanted it, with excellent views and furnishings inside. How can you argue with Subzero appliances? The TomTom coffee table was played several times, as was the provided guitar. Very open skies, perfect for our telescopes. Was quiet and peaceful, sitting on the porch listening to the coyotes and other wildlife. Even spotted a Bobcat on our trail. The hosts could not have been more warm and welcoming, and like great hosts provided an excellent accommodation and stayed out of our way. The property is well kept, and is obviously being improved weekly. We look very much forward to our next trip to JWR, and will tell our friends about it too.

Room Tip: The Casa Grande cabin easily handles three + couples, or large families. Three separate bedrooms, e...

Photos mistakenly dated 8-1, but we stayed 8-31-2013. An unexpected getaway, & owner/caretaker was incredibly accommodating! Stayed in Adobe. Perfect for 2-3 people. Interior well-kept and beautiful amenities. Refrigerator, gas oven, microwave, coffee maker, small floor a/c unit (though not needed). Well stocked kitchen incl. coffee, teas, oils, spices, many dishes, glassware, pans, utensils, etc. Bed very comfortable and enjoyed sleeping w/ the screened windows & doors open thru the night! Only drawback: railroad track very close and trains are loud - but we thought it added to the adventure. Adobe is very secluded - gorgeous views. Many critters esp. at night, but inside was critter free! Be advised no actual "ceiling" on bathroom area because entire cabin has beamed ceiling/roof - so might take away from privacy a bit. Owner was EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. Vineyards being replanted so no tastings while we were there, but they do sell bottles from previous years. Sangiovese is wonderful - a lot like a chianti. 4 miles of dirt road to property - well maintained but may want 4WD in rainy/winter months. Tip: Pay w/ cash or check and avoid credit card tax. NO CELL SERVICE inside cabins, but office has reception if you need. Overall a WONDERFUL stay!

Room Tip: Adobe is beautiful and secluded - trains passing thru occasionally may be too loud for some, but not...

My husband and I stayed in the charming Monet cabin, where we were greeted personally by the owners. The fireplace was ready to go, thanks to our wonderful hosts, and they even provided charcoal and fluid for the grill! We enjoyed our steaks and wine while our dog and cat slumbered on the floor in front of the fireplace. Having no TV is actually a wonderful thing, as my husband and I enjoyed the music and games provided to guests. What a wonderful way to enjoy the evening! Our morning walk on the grounds was most beautiful, and our dog, Duke even got to meet the horses! Everything has been updated, is modern, and very clean.
Will be back in the near future!

Quiet nights punctuated with crickets, the chit-chit-chit of cicadas and the quiet tap of moth wings against Mexican tin lanterns. Sipping wine as the sunsets and the breeze flows through 500 year old junipers. This ranch is off the beaten path, yet only 25 minutes from the nightlife of Prescott, AZ. A good escape complete with winery and wine tasting room. Try out for yourself the relaxing balm of the wine and ranch combination.

My wife & I just came back from a wonderful 4 day weekend. We took our dogs and enjoyed the peace and quiet atmosphere while they had a chance to roam. We stayed in the Adobe and enjoyed the double porches. The hosts, Dave & Linda, were very friendly and we spent time on two afternoons visiting with them over some wine sampling at their winery. The cabins are a bit rustic but full of character. We cooked all our meals in and enjoyed the peace & quiet of no phones, no TV and a blanket of stars under a beautiful country sky, something you never see living in the city.

My husband and I just returned from celebrating our 1 year anniversary by staying in the Monet Log Cabin with our two dogs. I wasn't sure what to expect, but based on the other reviews, I had a feeling we wouldn't be disappointed. We arrived late in the evening to a warm cabin thanks to Dave lighting a fire and having our cabin ready for us. This was the first of many ways that Linda and Dave seperate themselves from other establishments. They were the perfect hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome. I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin and the nice quiet setting among the Juniper trees. I am already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Dave and Linda!
