This is a neat, old hotel. It's got all the old west charm with the modern conveniences such as indoor plumbing and electricity. Seriously, it's a neat place with lots of charm, but it is old and creaky. If you're looking for charm, this is your place. Conventiently located by the town square in downtown Prescott, there are tons of shops and restaurants within a block or 2 of the hotel.

We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and it was mediocre. Not really recommended. The bar is cute, though, and they make a fabulous margarita!

The elevator is run by an employee only so most people take the stairs. If this is an issue with you, you might want to call first to see what type of accessability the hotel has for you.

Last but certainly not least, they had wonderful pillow top fluffy and delightful beds. The best out there!

Prescott, AZ was the Territorial Capital of Arizona, and The Hassayampa Hotel is a wonderful taste of Arizona history as well as Arizona today.

The service was magnificent from everyone. The rate was satisfactory, the food was delicious, and the general atmosphere is delightful. The rooms are not expansive, but the bedding is lush. There is an elevator that dates back to 1927. Jazz in the bar area is so enjoyable Thursdays thru Sunday.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff at the hotel.

This is our second time staying at The Hassayampa Inn, the first one being about 15 years ago. It's just as I remembered it. Conveniently located just steps away from Whiskey Row and all the antique stores and many restaurants.
Rooms are clean but they are old. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well, although due to the age of the hotel, you could hear everything that was being said in the hallway. Strangely enough, you could not hear anything from the room next to you as you can in many newer hotels. This hotel was built back in the 20's and it has stayed true to it's character.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would we stay there again, for sure!

The hotel has a terrific staff and location; and the breakfast is the best of the "freebies" I have had - much better than most of those offered by chains. The hotel is old and the elevator and plumbing are not efficient, but its location and the general atmosphere was great. I will difinitely stay there again.

When calling the hotel to make a reservation they were super nice and very helpful. When we called the day of to confirm my brother spoke with the lady who answered the phone and she was so nice sounding he thought it was a machine at first.

Checking in was easy. I went back to the front to get some ice and while the ice machine was a floor up the lady at the front desk went behind a bar area and filled it up for me so I didn't need to go upstairs.

The location is great to enjoy historic downtown Prescott and our entire trip was great. The beds were very comfortable and this is now the only place I will stay when going to downtown Prescott. Awesome, just awesome.

The only draw back to staying anywhere in downtown Prescott is that parking can get tight if they have anything going on down there, which they usually do. But if you come with a little patience its not really a problem.

This historic hotel is ideally situated in downtown Prescott, a short walk from shops, restaurants, saloons, and museums, and a short drive to venues for outdoor activities, for example, hiking through the granite dells. The hotel architecture and interior design are a mix of wild west and art deco: aesthetically pleasing, inside and outside. Our room was small but pretty and clean, with a squeak here and there in the flooring to remind us of its age. Much of the hotel--its rooms, lobby, bar, meeting room, and restuarant--retain much of its original character. Breakfast was included in our room rate with a wide choice of delicious hot or cold breakfast items and no excuse to start the day hungry. Hotel staff including food service staff were attentive and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a classy hotel and the employees make you feel "right at home". They make sure that your every need is met. Friendly and polite. They are working hard to make sure your stay is one of the best. We will continue to return as we have been staying there for the past 4 years.

Room Tip: Yes, we think room 417 is one of the best views.
