The room was clean and had a microwave refrigerator and two beds with plenty of space. We were in one of the rooms farthest away from the main office so the WIFI didn't reach our room. There is a computer in the main office though that guests can use. They will give you some soap in the room, but you might want to bring your own Shampoo. The hotel front desk might have some Shampoo, but I didn't bother to ask since I only stayed there one night.

This is a budget motel. If that's what you're looking for, I think it delivers - it's cheap, convenient, and offers a roof over your head. However, I didn't find the rooms to be very clean, with stains on the wall, missing shower liners, a very old decor and furniture that makes you skeptical of the cleanliness of the place. I really didn't trust the bedding as being 100% clean so we kind of just threw the comforter on the floor and slept fully clothed, just in case. It was also missing a lot of standard amenities like shampoo, condition, etc. in the bathroom which made it difficult to maintain personal hygiene. The shower was really the worst though, with only a bar of soap to clean ourselves with and a missing shower curtain which meant that the bathroom was flooded with water by the end of a quick shower. The shower also shoots like a fire house in terms of water pressure, so it's definitely not a nice showering experience. The rooms did have a mini-fridge which was nice, and breakfast was included although it's really just coffee and donuts, so don't expect brunch at the Ritz...

If you're just looking for a place to crash, this should be fine. If you're picky about where you crash, this probably isn't what you want. We didn't really have many options as it was Rodeo weekend and everywhere else was sold out, but in the future I don't think we'll return unless we find ourselves in a similar predicament again.

After reading several 'not so kind' reviews- I was worried!!!!! We had family visiting from out of state and decided to come home for the holiday weekend and it was my choice to stay here. I have passed this place for years and loved the nostalgic "Preskit" feel. Upon checking in, we were greeted with friendly and inviting service. I immediately checked my room for the issues that other reviewers had noted:the bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows, the bathroom was stocked with towels, t.p. and bar soap (there is shampoo available at the front desk), the a.c. worked great!!! The bedding was a little dated, and the curtains had seen better days, the tv was old school, but we weren't there for a 5 star resort stay. This is a great place to hang your hat after enjoying a day in my favorite town! I am definitely satisfied with the accommodations. If you want a dirty clothes sack and lotion head on over to the Hilton for twice the price.

Room Tip: Rooms numbering in the forties offered privacy and a great deck to enjoy family

We stayed at the Budget Host Sierra Hotel several years ago and found it to be adequate for the price we paid at the time. It was not a holiday weekend like this time, Memorial Day Weekend. The price for the room was almost $100 with taxes and certainly not worth it. We found that the room was not that clean and very sparsely furnished. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom and the soap was of the poorest quality. The king bed was confortable but there were only 2 small pillows on the bed. Should have been a few more for a king size bed. There was a coffee maker in the room, but only sugar and no cream.

The continental breakfast was a joke. If you call coffee and a couple of boxes of donuts sitting on the counter a breakfast, then you are in luck.

We will look for other places to stay when we return to Prescott and would only recommend this to others if you can not find something else. I guess this was the reason everything else was full and this place still had vacancies.

Room Tip: We were in the building to the right of the office and had a room on the first floor. It was quiet a...

We stayed in the Budget Host Sierra Motor Inn for one night during a holiday weekend. Prescott gets pretty expensive on holiday weekends, so it was not surprising that we would have to pay $100 for a room. But what we got was a really "budget" facility that was not worth it, even on a holiday weekend.

We rented one of several rooms located on the second floor of the building across the road from the main facility. These rooms have kitchenettes and fireplaces. In the warm weather, they were o more expensive than a regular room.

The beds seemed okay at first, but by the end of the night, both my wife and I had backaches. Not a lot of give in those mattresses. The room was clean enough, but the "equipped" kitchen was equipped with a collection of random pots, pans, plastic glasses and silverware. The fridge worked well. We did not test the microwave. The bathroom was basic but clean. They provided several bars of incredibly hard soap, which matches the sulfurous water that comes out of the shower. Good luck in working up a lather. They provided a hair dryer but no shampoo or conditioner.

There was no noise from neighbors, but you could hear cars from the street. Fortunately,n White Spar Road is not the busiest in the world.

When we arrived the pool was open, but the front desk clerk said it had just been filled and was cold, given the cool temperatures the area was experiencing at the time. The place advertised an "open year-round" hot tub, which we did not see and did not use. Breakfast consisted of coffee and the contents of two large boxes of doughnuts. I do not know what you are expected to do if you don't drink coffee.

I am sure there are worse places to stay in Prescott, and on an ordinary weekend, there are certainly better ones that you can get for under $100 a room. I also know that many people find $100 a room to be a routine price to pay. But I'm cheap, and when I pay $100, I want to think I'm getting a little something extra for the money. A welcoming atmosphere, for example. In this place, the front desk was polite and businesslike, but not especially welcoming. When we checked out, we were treated to a heated telephone discussion between the manager and a prospective guest who had cancelled a reservation without notifying he hotel within 24 hours and was being charged the $50 cancellation fee.

Never did we get the sense that anyone cared whether the room was occupied by us or someone else. Maybe that's an okay attitude at an 800-room Holiday Inn, but at a little place like this, some friendliness would have been welcome.

(NOTE: If you have to cancel and booked at a site like Hotwire or Hotels.com, make sure you cancel not only with the site, but with the hotel.)

Anyway, we won't be going back. There was nothing specifically wrong with the place, really, but we know there are better out there for less money most of the time, and for the same money on a holiday weekend if we plan ahead.

I really can't say anything bad about this place, but somehow it did not reach our expectations, despite being very reasonably priced for a family of four. Our room was large, situated across the road from the main buildings (you need to watch your step when you cross the road to look out for cars speeding round the corner). On the face of it ours was a nice room, with a kitchenette. However, the WiFi was really weak, and you had to sit outside on the porch to get the signal from across the road. Then there were a few other details that did not quite work, like a broken ice machine, and a pretty basic continental breakfast. But as I said, you get what you pay for, and this place was not too expensive, and about a mile and a half from the town center.
