We have stayed in many, many B & B's here and overseas for the last 30 years. The WP has to be ranked in the top 5 of any place we have ever experienced.

Not only do you have the run of a magnificent mountaintop home - the owners have also made walking trails in and around the 5 acre property, dotted with folk art pieces by local artists.

Breakfast is a big deal here and is the quality of a four star restaurant. All fresh and wonderful and varied and plentiful. Great coffee.

Gayle was most friendly and gracious to book us in at the last minute and for one night only.

IF we are lunch enough to return, it will be something we will look forward to and will certainly book two or three nights to have enough time to enjoy Whispering Pines and Prescott, a charming town with cowboy flavor.

Great place to stay. We came in for the Whisky 50 mountain bike race. Bike and bags in hand. They were super accommodating to our late arrival and assembling bikes in the garage. Great breakfast. Wonderful view. Not too far from town but far enough you feel like you are in the woods.

Hi Kathy
So glad you shared your experiences staying at our B&B and how it worked out with your participation in the Whiskey 50 mountain bike race. We were glad to provide the necessary accommodations you needed......just wish we could have had more of a connection with "Mother Nature" for better weather. Thanks again for choosing Whispering Pines ...Gayle

Stayed 2 nights at the Whispering Pines B and B last week and had a wonderful time. The house is set in the woods with a view of the whole Prescott valley. The hosts Gayle and Tim really went out of their way to make our stay just perfect. The breakfasts were delicious and the conversations with our hosts were great. We have stayed at a lot of B and B's here and abroad and this was by far one of the greatest stays we've ever had. The house is huge and gorgeous with ceiling to floor windows with nothing but spectacular views! Several walking paths through the property with some rocking chairs at the end of one trail really make it a special place. Don't miss staying here if you have a chance.

Room Tip: the Prescott Room was perfect for us. Main floor, king size bed, private bath with huge shower and s...

The road meanders a few miles out of town, ending up "Who knows where?" Be not detered: the dirt round ends at the top of a mountain where a large glass and wood Frank Lloyd Wright-type home rises beneath tall pines that actually do whisper.

Gorgeous rooms, artifacts, homemade chocolates in each bedroom, generous family breakfast, every amenity with hosts Gayle and Tim who are wonderful to chat with and offer local histories.
You will want to stay longer.

A bargain, too!

Room Tip: Both areas up and down had a view of the Verdes valley miles and miles to Sedona, practically. Give...

This was our first stay at a B & B, we usually stay at the Resort in Prescott and we were very happy with our choice. The home is situated in the pines, just a few miles from town. Very secluded, but not far away. The views are to die for, the scenery much better than anything we've seen while traveling to Prescott for a weekend destination for over 10 years. An excellent breakfast was provided each day with a chance to meet with other guests. A full house while we were there, but plenty of privacy as each room has it's own amenities. We were very pleased with our stay and have made some new friends in Tim and Gayle, who were on-site to offer anything you could possibly need during your stay.

We needed a place to stay for on night in Prescott and found the brochure for Whispering Pines in the local Tourist Info office. What a slice of heaven! Our hosts were totally accommodating, even on short notice and we couldn't have picked a better place. The house is absolutely stunning, on top of a mountain with a 360 degree view. The property is loaded with hummingbirds, javelinas, short walking trails and glorious views. The house and rooms are unbelievable, and the upstairs rooms are adjacent to a loft with a TV, couches, and a 180 view of the city. Breakfast the following morning was amazing--and plentiful. Great hosts, great conversation, great value for the money. Our only regret was that we only had one night there. And by the way, even though this place is on top of a mountain, it is less than 10 minutes from the downtown Courthouse area. A spectacular place that we hope to visit again someday. If you're going to Prescott any time soon, skip the hotel and stay here instead. You won't regret it!

Room Tip: There are no bad choices here; the place is gorgeous and everything is lovely.

If you want to see hummingbirds up close, watch javelinas rooting around in the ground or smell Prescott's unique "butterscotch" trees, come and stay at Whispering Pines in Prescott. We were there for two nights last September (sorry for the late review) and we are still "pining" to go back! Yes, you will pay a little more to stay here than a hotel in town, however, if you are really wanting a quiet, lovely place in the woods, this is where you need to be. It is easy to find, not far out of town and as you drive further into the woods, you will get more and more excited as you round each bend. The house itself should be in Architectural Digest and the interior decorating will make you wish you owned the house! Huge, picture windows are everywhere as well as big, cozy chairs and pillows scattered around the main floor and the loft, inviting you to sit and revel in the glorious views! The hummingbirds come right up to the hummingbird feeders so you can be sitting inside and watch the hummingbirds feed on the other side of the glass, mere inches from your nose. The javelinas root around the backyard so you can eat breakfast and watch javelinas at the same time! The butterscotch trees down the driveway and throughout the forest have a wonderful, sweet smell in the inner golden/orange part of the trunks. (If you're not sure which trees, ask the owners.) You can walk down several paths through the forest, smell the wildflowers and not see any other people anywhere. You will feel as if you are all alone in the world. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A fridge is available for guests to store food and you can make tea with British tea anytime you like. The breakfast is homemade and Gayle has some yummy breakfast casseroles you won't be able to resist! She puts a nice assortment of homemade chocolates by your bed and encourages you to take them with you if you didn't eat them all immediately. A wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. The only problem with Whispering PInes is that if you visit in the summer, your next thought is, "I wonder what it is like here in the winter, spring and fall?" And with that, you will be planning your next visit to Whispering Pines!

Room Tip: The Prescott Room was worth the extra fee. We enjoyed being able to come and go through our own door...
