Our family loves coming here to escape from the heat and city. Bring a snack or food for a picnic. It's a nice hike around the lake. Also nice to rent a canoe, kids and dogs love it. Has a playground for kids. It's very clean. Benches around the lake where you can just sit and relax. Fishing, duck feeding. Just a nice place to get away for the day.

We love to go here to kayak -- it's a small lake, so it's easy to take the little ones out without overwhelming them with a full-day adventure.

There is a small playground, and sand volleyball court, a ramada (available for rental from the City), restrooms, picnic tables and benches.

The parking fee is annoying, and parking can be pretty full on weekends. But, we overlook it and enjoy the lake anyway. It's always a few degrees cooler than Prescott and it's just a few minutes out Senator Highway. Easy to get to. In fact, it's so close that my daughter and I used to go there with a sack lunch during school -- put the kayaks in and have lunch. I work from home, so we could be a few minutes late getting back from lunch :)

Peaceful and worth the visit!

This is worth a visit. Take the trail that goes around half the lake. Keep an eye out for overhead bald-eagles.

We paid the parking fee so we could hike the trails around the lake. Some of them need maintenance. With so many places with free parking where we can hike near water, we have not been back since.
