“Big disappointment”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We visited this July and were really disappointed with the Palace. It was nicely appointed and represented the period, which we really liked. However, once seated, we waited a very prolonged period before we had anyone stop by and ask us what we would like for drinks. The place was not that busy for a Saturday night, nearly half the tables were empty.

The drinks took a while, and once we ordered, I had finished my drink, my water and managed to eat not only my ice, but my wife's before our waiter stopped by to see if we wanted anything else. The ribs, when they finally got there, arrived, they were pretty good. Meat fell off the bone and was very tender. Again, we waited a very long time to get our check; once in hand I paid with cash and we were outta there!

“Good food and music”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

Try their fajitas. Just a little different than anywhere else I have had them but very good. Skip the sauteed mushrooms. They aren't as advertised, Plain button mushrooms with very little flavor. We actually split an order since we were out later than we usually have dinner and the waiter was very friendly and helpfull. The drinks are good and the prices are very good. The band was decent for no cover charge. Not a really good cover band but entertaining. Overall I would go back and take friends here again and again.

“History While You Eat!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

One of those places that really has a feel of the old times in the west, this large open restaurant with bar offers tasty food in a historic saloon environment.

“Great atmosphere, lacking in the dinner department”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

What a history this place has. We've lived here for 11 years now and still enjoy hanging out in the bar (which has a great history too!) It's a place that takes you back in time. Unless they hired a new chef, the food was nothing to talk about.

“Atmosphere superb - service; oh well ...”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

The place as such is a must-see. It's historic and boasts a pleathora of genuine 'Old West / Frontier' mementoes, oncluding photogrpahs of some of the most famous 'Wild West' gents. It's almsot like a small museum. What's more, Junior Bonner, with the great Steve McQueen, shot some scenes in the saloon, and there are pictures galore form the movie and the shooting on the walls. So this is five-star for atmosphere ... the food is so-so, certainly expensive for its average quality. We'd been in there many times - actully, my husband can't drive thru Prescott, something we do a lot, without stopping there and having a/some beer(s) ... and usually the service is good. This time tbuogh, it was lousy, no other word. We sat down and the waitress saw us, never even looked at us, then walked past as a few times. When she fuinbally deigned to bring menus she seemed like an automaton. Ladies, a smile doesn't hurt and it doesn't cost you. The second order stood on the counter for sime time and got warm before it as finally brought to our table ...Thumbs down for service, at least this time. Don;t go there for a meal, but do go and have a look - and maybe a drink. If you come in Saturday you'll see people walking around in period dress - pretty neat to see.
