We have stayed at this hotel several times. The hotel itself is filled with plants and giant chandeliers. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and most have walk-out balconies. The staff is relatively friendly. Included with the room is breakfast, which consists of baked goods, hard boiled eggs, fruit and cereal (not bad). One of the best parts of this hotel is the pool area. The pool is clean, there is a jacuzzi, towels are provided at the pool. This is very nice to have in the summer, as Prescott does get hot. Some of the more historic hotels that you can stay in along the square do not have pools. Forest Villas is a 15 minute drive from downtown, and is directly across the street from Costco and other shops and restaurants. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there is a little garden area to walk through.

There are some charming historic hotels in downtown Prescott (Hassayampa Inn and St. Michaels for instance), and Forest Villas does not have the charm that these do. The furnishings at Forest Villas are a little dated. Also, be aware that prices for rooms vary greatly. We have stayed at this hotel at the same time friends have had identical rooms, and upon discussion, we found we paid drastically different prices (management would not change the rates to match either). If you are going to stay here, shop around the internet. You can get great deals on these rooms.

All in all, I would stay here again and would recommend this site to friends. Prescott is a wonderful city with an adorable town square, lots of festivals, antique shops, the famous Whiskey Row, and restaurants (one of our favorites is the Gurley Street Grill - try the pistachio crusted chicken salad). Don't hesitate to stay here!

  • Liked — Clean, comfortable, nice pool area, breakfast included
  • Disliked — Dated furnishings, lacks charm of nearby historic hotels

We took a quick trip to Prescott to meet some traveling friends who were staying here. This hotel was such a nice surprise! The rooms are large, clean and comfy. The second floor has wonderful balconies. The pool and hot tub were very clean and the thick towels were well stocked. The breakfast bar had a friendly attendant and the selection was pretty average BUT... they actually served coffee in real ceramic mugs. For anyone who is a real coffee drinker,,. this is a major bonus. We would absolutely stay here again. Don't miss a trip to Jerome and the Verde Canyon Railroad! (Be sure to spring for the 1st class seats. They are well worth it!)

  • Liked — Very clean and reasonably priced
  • Disliked — It's a drive into the historic area of Prescott

Forest Villast is a delightful, warm, friendly and beautifully decorated and modestly priced hotel. It is a little off the beaten path giving it a feeling of privacy and solitude amidst its beautiful rose gardens and spa area. The staff managed by Catherin Le Mons does everything to make the stay a friendly and delightful experience. I return often and would not consider staying at any other location in Prescott Arizona

  • Liked — Attractive, comfortable and very convenient for personal needs
  • Disliked — The continental breakfast could offer a few more quality choices

We were traveling from Oklahoma to California and visiting family in Prescott . We decided to spend the night instead of continuing on our travel. We physically inquired at about eight other hotels before stopping at Forest Villas. It was a bit more than we planned on spending but the gal at the desk was very nice and understood our concern for being able to see our vehicle from our room.
Our room was very nice and clean and comfortable. And we were able to have a clear view of where our car was parked.
We slept very comfortably altho we could hear the people talking in the room next door.
We were unable to access their wireless from my laptop and that was the only disappointment.
The shower was very nice and the water was instantly hot.
We checked out the next morning without taking part in their breakfast so I have no idea what they served or what it was like.
We would definately stay there again mainly because of the young lady behind the counter when we arrived. Good staff goes an awful long way I think.

  • Liked — It was clean and classy
  • Disliked — The wireless didn't work

We went to this hotel to meet up with some close friends. By the photos on the internet it looked great...And the entrance is!
But Pleeese, the 'extensive continental breakfast" they promised was stale, sparse and they ran out of stuff an hour after they opened.
The "waiter" was pushy, curt, and closed up the coffee a half hour before their posted time. It's like they make one pot and when its gone, its gone. The foyer is so linviting to sit in the morning with your coffee or tea....but I felt like I was rushed. The sausages they offered were gray, schriveled little tidbits. One day they had boiled eggs, the next day...."oh I guess "he" didn't make any" was the response. The waiter hovered over what you did take, like you might take two bagels instead of one.oooooooooo. Toaster took way too long to toast.
The rooms were dark and dank. They definitely need upgrading.
Go there to sleep - no to eat or to spend time in the room.

Location was good. (Across from the Mall and close to downdown) People were friendly (although no too helpful with restaurant suggestions-and oooo not the waiters in the AM.)

  • Liked — a firend
  • Disliked — Breakfast sservice was stingy and stale. Rooms Dark and dank

Dear Travelmohr,

We thank you for your comment and consider your constructive criticism an opportunity to improve the experience for our future guests.

We have since taken steps to improve the presentation and variety of our breakfast offerings. We can only apologize to you for your perceptions of our employees. The attendant is an older gentleman; he is very attentive, and caring. Sometimes people misconstrue this as being intrusive, and we can only apologize to you for that perception. To be fair, if you look through Tripadvisor, the very same individual you complained about impresses others so much they rave about him in reviews. Such is the way with personal opinion, I suppose. Still, we have conveyed your comments and will do our best to ameliorate this so that future guests do not experience any inconvenience.

On the breakfast, if we run out of items, we replenish them immediately. While you are right that we might run out of coffee momentarily, there is ALWAYS more coffee on its way. Our toaster is brand new, and is the type that requires slightly more time to make toast dark. We purchased this particular toaster because previous guests had complained about units burning toast too quickly.

In regards to the rooms, during your arrival in January the effect of stormy weather may have rendered our rooms slightly darker. Still, with drapes open and lights on, our rooms are designed to be sufficiently lit year round.

Please know that our management staff is always ready to address complaints on the spot as, after departure, there is little we can do to improve your stay. We don't want our guests having regrets any more than our guests want that.

Over the years, we have compiled all of our guests' comments, and made significant improvements to the hotel. We recently renovated all our guest rooms, which feature new high-end bedding, furnishings, wall art, drapes, and flat screen televisions.

We do not simply say we appreciate feedback, we mean it and we use it to improve our services. So thank you and once again, and we hope that you will be able to visit in the future to experience the improvements you helped create!

Cordially,

Art Eleid

I heard about forest villas by word of mouth. A friend of mine said she loved the landscaping and the hospitality. That's exactly what I found.
The hotel was very charming from the inside and had beautiful walkways through rose gardens externally. The rooms were beautifully furnished, luxurious and spacious. You dont have to ask for things because everything you need is already available.
Greeted with friendly faces at all times, I felt very pampered.
If you want a taste of prescott, I think that Forest Villas is the place to go!
