“Comfortable Atmosphere filled with Charm”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2012

My husband and I stayed in room 26. The room was comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was close to the town center "hub of activity". The proprieter (Eric) was helpful and informative. He had great suggestions for hiking and local restaurants. The stay included a morning breakfast of pasteries, cereal, fruit and waffles; great value. The evenings hanging out down in the main lobby were comfortable and relaxing. Late afternoon sangria on the patio was perfect. We can't say enough good things. Our stay was fantastic and we can't wait to go again to the Vendome Hotel in Prescott, AZ.

Room Tip: We peaked into some other rooms and found them all to be equally charming, clean and comfortable.

Really nice place to stay if you want a flavor of the past. Rooms decorated to fit the "old times" with quilts, curtains, antique chests. The small radiator is non functioning as there is a wall thermostat, which we found after one very cold night. We needed to be more observant! The room rate included a buffet type breakfast served from the bar/front desk area- Belgian Waffle to order, if desired, juice, cereal, Aussie cakes, etc. -quite adequate. The bar was also open in the eve.for drinks and chats- a friendly spot to wind down. WiFi is free but our room at the end of the hall didn't pick up the signal until we stepped out into the hall. It's fine up front in the lounge area and probably better in rooms closer to their router. Parking is free around the side, across the street and with restricted times in front of the hotel. The attention & help from the front desk lady (manager?) was exceptional. Brochures of area attractions, a 3-ring binder of information as to walking trails in the area, local history info, was all available on a small hall table. The hotel is within walking district of the popular "Whiskey Row".

Room Tip: Check out your iPad, computer, etc. WiFi reception from the room, if that's important to you.

Just loved walking into this flash from the past, turn of the century (last century) hotel. Both Jim and Eric were great to chat with and provided restaurant suggestions and assisted me with finding a yoga class.
Hot water available at all times for coffee and tea, as well as a refrigerator for your leftovers.
The bar has an excellent selection of Microbrews available for purchase, as well as wine. Just a comfortable place to sit, relax and visit.
I loved walking up the wide stairs and down the very wide hall to our room. I just felt like I was in a different place and time. (I think I made extra trips up and down the stairs, just to be able to walk the hall).
The location is right there in the middle of town. Having said that, you should realize you will here the music and nightlife from "Whiskey Row" one block away. Not to worry though, as with everything, there is a beginning,a middle and an end and that includes the music and 2 am., so just chill and enjoy.
I'm glad we stayed here, we enjoyed our short visit.

Room Tip: If you think the noise from the bands will bother you, check to see if the rooms at the front of the...

Our first trip to Prescott was made special as the owner of Hotel Vendome believes in world class customer service. We were greeted for our one night stay by Eric(owner) who suggested the best restaurants, what attractions were within walking distance. When we needed a hair dryer. No problem. He had one at the front desk. The room was clean and spacious. We definitely will stay here again .

Room Tip: Front of hotel 2nd floor

The Hotel Vendom in Prescott Arizona is a jewel among restored early 1900 hotels.
The Hotel Vendome was build in 1917 as a 30 room hotel and remodeled in 1983 to a 21 room hotel by adding bathrooms and forced air heat and air conditioning to the rooms. The some of the rooms are the original size with period furniture. Some of the rooms have large bath rooms with a large two person sunken bath tubs that were created by converting a hotel room between rooms into two bath rooms. Some of the bath rooms have the old style claw foot bath tubs and the pull cord water closets There is a small bar in the lobby that serves beer and wine, A continental breakfast available in the morning. There is a porch on both the ground and second floor. Every thing is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms with a King bed are a little tight. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is only a short walk from old down town Prescott which is filled with small shops, restaurants and bars, Great shopping.

The wife and I were there on a Saturday night in February with 18 other couples. The owners allowed our group to have music and dancing in the lobby and to have food catered in.

If you are looking for a Hilton are Marriot type accommodations this is not it but if you want to step into the past and are looking for the charm of a 1900 hotel that is clean, comfortable and friendly this is it.

The hotel is on the National Registery of Historic Places.

I would recommend the Hotel Vendome as a place to stay in old Prescott to any one that should ask

A cousin & I booked this hotel after reading the multiple reviews and couldn't have been happier. We had the two bedroom suite with connecting bathroom. Absolutely perfect for the two of us. We knew about the claw foot tub but did not realize there was a pull chain for the toilet. Nice size room with door separating the bathing/toilet area. Perfect location for walking to town. Abundant parking on the street outside of the hotel and the owners were friendly and helpful. However....my cousin was not comfortable leaving her car in the adjacent parking lot due to it not being lit and there was only one other car there. Also, as someone in a previous review mentioned, the music from Whiskey Row is very loud. I found it difficult to sleep coupled with some other guests who seemed to be standing in the hallway talking into the wee hours of the morning. We were only there for one night so for us the noise was not a big factor. We ate lunch and dinner at the local brewery and enjoyed both meals. Did not do a lot of shopping as we were in town on business but it would certainly be nice to go back and explore.

We were quite taken with this charming hotel in Prescott's historic downtown area. It is in a great location, walking distance to shopping, a great historical museum and restaurants. The owners were very helpful in their recommendations for restaurants and nearby attractions. The atmosphere of the hotel is warm and friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I'm sure we will return.

Room Tip: We stayed in what was called a room with a garden tub. It had an updated bathroom rather than some...
