We stayed in the two bedroom cottage. It was an awesome and wonderful stay. Ruth and John were lovely and their bakery was very delicious. We took stuff home to share with friends and family.
I have a sister, brother-in-law and niece in Safford and if not for them we would not have found this wonderful place to stay.
Hope we can stay here again in the future.
We had an exquisite time staying at the Cottage. We were made to feel totally at home and loved the place and our hosts. Breakfast was unsurpassed. One caution, if you have any tendency toward addiction, DO NOT GO INTO THE BAKERY! We were unable to leave the premises without an armload of baked perfection. The chocolate croissant was nearly enough to lead us to abandon our home and plans of higher accomplishment and live in Safford permanently.
My wife and I spent a night in the cottage. It is a delightful little space with a kitchen/dining/living room area, bedroom and small bathroom. The bathroom has only a small shower. Towels, etc. are provided. The bed was very comfortable. Ruth brings you a homemade, to order breakfast in the morning. The cottage is just steps away from the bakery which might be a problem if you like to sleep late because customers must walk past. Check out is 10 am. We'd stay again.
We spent nearly 2 weeks in the cottage, enjoying the great breakfast and the bakery next door. It's a quiet, relaxing setting, and the owners, Ruth and John, are delightful, as are their kids! Anything we asked for, they quickly provided. If we return to Safford for business or pleasure, we will definitely stay at the Cottage B&B.
This beautifully set cottage was absolutely the best place to stay in Safford, no exceptions. We were thrilled when we made the reservation. After we arrived, I felt as if I had time traveled back to a period when things were slow and made to be enjoyed. Surrounded by lush (for AZ) vegetation and vegetable gardens, huuuge trees and romantic architecture, I was completely able to relax and just enjoy our time there.
Ruth, hostess extraordinaire, and her family were also a treat to be around. And, the breakfast? OMGOSH, it was as tasty as it was beautifully presented. And the fresh baked goods? Bread that had that true bread taste and texture...? In a word, HEAVEN. So we bought a bunch to take back home.
I know corp America has many places where we can go and have An Experience, but this is the Real Deal. I know we were cared for like long lost family and treated like visiting dignitaries. And it comes as natural as breathing for Ruth. Truly, our stay was a beautifully crafted work of art. Thank you Ruth!
romantic, homey, and simply lovely. Wonderful, natural breakfast of home-made scones, jam, granola, and yogurt. All home-made including the yogurt. Fresh fruit thrown in as well. All was swell with the world after the wife and I sang kumbya.
