“I Didn't Want to Leave!”

I'm a frequent patron of Kimpton properties, but this was my first visit to Firesky. This is one of the most gorgeous Kimpton hotels I've visited. The grounds are breathtaking--meticulous landscaping, beautiful facade--and the rooms have been carefully remodeled yet preserve the old character of a previous property (Firesky occupies what used to be a motel/hotel on Scottsdale Rd.) The lobby area is spacious, providing more room for socializing than most Kimpton hotels. All rooms have either a balcony or small patio area. Bathrooms aren't glamorous but have been tastefully redone. Rooms are surprisingly large with comfortable beds, flatscreen LG tv, fully stocked honor bar. Some reviews mentioned noise, which gave me some pause when I considered staying here. We didn't here ANYTHING during our stay. Had two wonderful, quiet nights. We spent one afternoon at the pool--again, just beautiful, lush landscaping. The pool area had a very tropical feel with fruit trees and hummingbirds in abundance. The bartender in the lobby bar was OUTSTANDING. She was working solo and no one had to wait long for service. Early evening wine hour was great, as was the morning coffee/tea service. All of the staff were pleasant and more than willing to accommodate requests. We didn't use it, but Firesky offers complimentary shuttle service to anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel. This is a great perk for those who want to spend the evening in Old Town and don't want to hassle with parking (or risk driving after having some drinks). We enjoyed the two block stroll to the Fashion Mall. I can't wait to return!

Just came back from a wonderful stay at this hotel/resort..
Our room was lovely, their restaurant Taggia (great pizza, scallops burrata) and their spa wonderful, great amenities but
best of all ther staff made us and our dogs feel so welcome and taken
care of. We had planned to visit restaurants, nearby shops, etc but
found we enjoyed more just relaxing by the pool or in the room.
From now onthey are our hotel of choice in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. We are planning a return trip later spring/early summer.

Loved this hotel. The buildings themselves are older and are showing their age, but the design and decor are beautiful. Beyond that, the service is fantastic. If you ask, they'll provide. The concierge was extremely knowlegeable and recommended great restaurants, too. We'll be back!

Went for a weekend getaway with several friends and loved this place. Service is fantastic, rooms are clean and updated, pool area is marvelous, food is super. Lots of fun activities in walkable distances and a shuttle-ride away. Loved the spa, too - had the best service I've ever received there. Great dining recommendations from the knowledgable staff. Can't beat the wine bar/coffee bar/hot chocolate and darling bellmen. This is a great place and I'll probably be back! If you're looking for a resort location away from it all, this may not be for you, but overall this hotel makes up for its non-resort location with its ambience, service, and style.

If you're interested in exploring Scottsdale and all the restaurants and shopping, you can't do any better than right here. Especially for the money! I thought the rate I paid was terrific considering this is "high" season in Scottsdale! Beautiful grounds, very peaceful, lovely water features that drown out any noise from nearby Scottsdale road. There are charming little seating areas all over the property. All staff is incredibly helpful and well-trained. It's not a Four Seasons, but you definitely will appreciate the location, location, location, and all the little special touches that make this a great value. Didn't get a chance to use the spa, but it looks great. Had room service from the restaurant and it was very very good. Absolutely no complaints. A relatively inexpensive (for Scottsdale) gem in the desert.
