We recently stayed at the Four Seasons at Troon North and had a great time. My family and I stayed in the Residence Club area and really enjoyed the rooms, pool area and restaurant. All of the dining options at the resort were outstanding and the service was what you would expect at a Four Seasons. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make you feel special. The Troon North golf club was amazing. We have stayed at a number of Four Season resorts, including Costa Rica, and this resort tops the list.

My husband and I celebrated our 14th anniversary in Scottsdale. We had a fabulous trip with extraordinary service as always expected from a Four Seasons stay!! The property is beautifully situated amongst breathtaking views and is only a short walk to great hiking and great dining. The spa, cocktails, and staff at Scottsdale FS were second to none!! Great experience- we will return!

The Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, was everything we expected in a five star resort. EVERY staff member was excellent, helpful, friendly and always going just a little above and beyond. I would highly recommend this hotel. Very well maintained, clean, no corners cut. The restaurant service was excellent as well as the pool side bar and food service. Servers were always there making your time by the pool the very best with little complementary food and drink items to wet your appetite. It was over 100F every day of our seven day stay and sitting by the pool was still very enjoyable with the cabanas for use and the misters. The hotel was very booked with weddings and once again the staff never missed a beat for all the guests not involved with the special event. The Troon golf course was excellent as well as the TPC courses the Stadium and Championship courses. As it does get hot in the afternoon we kept with 6:40am tee off times which worked perfectly with spending the afternoon by the pool.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floors have better views. We had a room where we enjoyed our balcony on the shade i...

I had the pleasure of staying here last week on business and it was outstanding. I had a second floor room (1213) with a king bed, a view of the pool, and a view of the valley. The room had a separate shower and soaker tub, king bed, desk, and small table and 2 side chairs. On the patio, there were two reclining chairs and a small table.

Waking up each morning to the sights and sounds of the desert was such a treat. There were so many birds, jack rabbits, lizards, and I even saw a king snake.

The grounds are very nicely done with cactus everywhere. The cactus were blooming and the scent was amazing. There are three pools - one is a kiddie pool. Poolside service is outstanding. The food at all of the resort facilities was great (albeit overpriced). Room service is timely and excellent.

The staff all make you feel welcome. I'm not generally a "resort" guy but I would definitely bring my family here to experience the desert.

My only complaints (minimal) is that they only serve Coke products. As a Diet Pepsi guy, that was tough. The mini bar doesn't have space for personal items. Finally, the gift shop didn't have a very good selection of kids items.

Overall, this place was outstanding.

No other way to describe it. From the moment the car door was opened for me by a courteous young man, until we bid a fond farewell, carrying one last delicious cup of prickly pear ice tea, we were surrounded by a spectacular blend of luxury and nature. Our room was serviced at least twice daily. We were always greeted as we entered the main lobby, many times by our names, the staff on the golf carts were always eager to show us interesting sights on the grounds (we were there for a photo workshop). Loved the casita ... beautiful view, and very quiet. Though it wasn't exactly winter (late April) ... i used the fireplace every evening while reading. Beautiful TV, although I don't think we ever turned it on! Too much to do and see. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: They are all good!

Service: Guest treatment correlates to rate paid. Conference and tour customers should not expect the same attentive service as guests paying rack rate.

Hotel Property: The rooms in this hotel are in “casitas” – a series of small buildings where your room door will open to the exterior of the building. You can walk (hike) to your room or be driven in a golf cart. If you choose to walk to your room, bring a map. The room numbers are barely visible from the path. Watch for golf carts.

Rooms: Rooms have only one air conditioning duct in the bed area and none in the hall or bath. Arizona is hot nine months out of the year. Even though it’s a “dry heat” the spaces without A/C ducts are uncomfortable. If you are into the whole sweat lodge experience this might be appealing to you. The rooms are not designed for work – there is no desk chair, there is a daily charge for WiFi (per computer), and there are no connection instructions in the room. On the plus side, the views are beautiful so this could be your excuse to shut off the computer and relax.

Dining: Restaurants in the hotel offered typical hotel fare at inflated prices. I tried every dining venue and I don’t think the staff works for tips – especially in the Onyx Lounge. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so nearby dining options are limited to the biker bar across the street and a residential strip mall.

Parking: The valet parking charge is in the $30 range plus tax and tip for the guy to drive your car 50 feet around to the side of the building. If you self-park it’s half the price of valet. I personally don’t mind parking charges if there is a reason for them, but it’s not like this hotel is in the middle of the city where space is scarce. It takes a lot of nerve to charge a daily fee for the privilege of parking my own car, especially in a lot that was a half-mile walk to the casita where my room was located. (To be fair, they will follow you with a golf cart if you self-park and drive you to your room if you are willing to wait.)

Overall: More like a camping experience than a stay at a high-end hotel. If I wanted to hike to my room and live without full air conditioning in the middle of a desert I would have auditioned for Survivor.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the main building. If you are self-parking ask for a room near the lot.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your valuable feedback regarding your recent stay with us.

We take all of the comments we receive from our guests seriously and use them as a learning tool in order for us to find new ways to improve the overall product and service delivery we provide to our guests.

We regret that the layout of the Resort did not meet your needs. The Resort design reflects that of an adobe-style pueblo village, in keeping with the sense of place of our home in the desert.

In regard to our parking charges, these are competitive with other hotels and resorts in the area.

We apologize for the frustration from your visit with us, but hope that you will return to Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale or any future Four Seasons Worldwide Hotel.

Sincerely,

Ben Shank

After a week in Scottsdale on business, I treated myself to one day of luxury and it was worth it! All staff from the bell captain, the front desk to the poolside were polite, professional, and courteous. I was in very good hands!

The resort is beautiful, situated in a very upscale residential area with picturesque rock formations and cacti, the drive up was quite nice. The resort is a tad spread out but golf cart services are available if you choose not to walk in the scorching heat to the pool area or to your room which is nice.

We sat beside the family pool, but it was quiet and very relaxing. Service is top notch by the pool and things like complimentary pitchers of ice water, small snacks, and chair set up really make you feel pampered. Lunch at the restaurant by the pool wasn't bad either!

Our room was a standard desert view casita, but it was spacious, clean, and had a veranda with a terrific view. The bathroom is the best part of the room, in my opinion. Clean, spacious, loaded with expensive fixtures. The tub was amazing!

All in all, I'd say if you want to treat yourself to some luxury, this is the place to do it.
