We stayed at the Gainey Suites in May 2013. The formula is truly well thought out and we would highly recommend staying here. Some reasons. the suites (rooms) are very well appointed and kept immaculately clean with daily service. the kitchenette has all you need and the bedroom en suite is very comfortable. So big tick. But it gets better the establishment does not have a restaurant so they offer complimentary buffet breakfast with hot options and an evening happy hour with food and hot options plus wine and beer again complimentary. These offerings really make a difference. Plus Gainey is on the edge of a shopping complex with restaurants a plenty. Literally next door is the Village Tavern with good food and offers during the week. A good Thai is also there and a fast food sandwich place. Then the location is perfect, a short drive down town and nearby other hotels and shopping. At the next junction up the way is a mall with late night supermarket and pharmacy among other shops. So all there and near to hand. Finally the best bit, Gainey Suite staff led by Rich Newman. He makes sure all is working well and is available for help and advice at breakfast and happy hour. The front of house staff could not be more helpful. There is a large screen in reception for internet access and advice on local attractions. The pool area is safe secure and well kept. It sits in the centre of the quadrangle created by the two storey rooms. All in all highly recommended

Room Tip: Lower floor has verandah onto green area with access to pool. However we stayed upstairs which we prefer total privacy

Hard not to echo what others have said about this hotel. No resort fee or internet fee. Free breakfast and food in the evening all make it a very good bargain.

We had an issue with a dripping shower and were upgraded without any problems.

The one issue I would have is the pool. It's fairly small and far too warm for summer in Phoenix and if there are families staying at the hotel (as I guess there will often be) then the area becomes very noisy and not great for a relaxing time.

If an important part of your vacation is taking it easy by the pool then I suspect that this hotel is not for you.

They didn't nickel and dime us like many hotels do but, unfortunately, that one issue means that we won't be returning.

My husband and I visit the Gainey Suites each year on our anniversary for 3-4 days. The rooms are great with everything you need including soaps from Bath and Body, the beds are plush, the pool is clear and food, especially the free breakfast is delicious. I could live here!

Room Tip: We never heard a thing and have stayed in different rooms each stay.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Our family stayed here for four nights and received fabulous service. The hotel and our one bedroom suite was well appointed. We enjoyed the food and company at both the complimentary breakfast and evening reception.

If we ever come back, we will definitely stay here again.

This is our second visit to Gainey Suites, we got a great deal through Travel Zoo and decided on the 4th of July Weekend for our get away. Well, it was just wonderful, this by far is our favorite place to stay when we want to staycation. It is located pretty close to everything in Scottsdale AZ in a great area, with free parking, free wifi, no resort fee that is almost unheard of in Scottsdale, the suites are large and modern, the grounds is just fabulous well taken care of, great pool, the free breakfast buffet real eggs, bacon starbucks coffee and an array of fruits, pastries etc, the evening happy hour is also our favorite, you get wine by the bottle and beer on tap all you can drink the food menu changes every night, the food is really YUMMMY! We met some fabulous people from all over the country and had just great social experiences. We also got gift cards to the Village Tavern within walking distance of the hotel, just really good atmosphere and great food. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Get a suite overlooking the fabulous courtyard.
