this is the third time we have stayed in a number one rated trip advisor hotel and by far this one was a disappointment.. the location is good and the price for the Scottsdale area is what earned this high rating I suppose.. other than that the hotel is somewhat shabby...it is a courtyard hotel with a small but attractive inner courtyard pool area surrounded by parking lots on all sides..it is tucked in behind a shopping center.. the hallway carpets are dirty and the beds very soft ..the air conditioner in the room makes noise at night.. while we were there we saw a cadre of older guests who may have been there for an extended stay... they complained about to other guests about their behavior and then to the hotel .. and "saved" chairs for their friends in the limited pool area .. all in all this stay was far from #1 one in my book I would not stay here again..

Perfect location for our golf trip. Sraff was really nice. The rooms are fine but the full-size refrigerator quite noisy-an issue for me...a very light sleeper. On the plus side-the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast and social hour selection was very nice and the interior grounds/pool are quite lovely.

Great location and would definitely stay again! Needed an extra rollaway and was no extra charge. Didn't make it to breakfast but the lounge looked beautiful. Stayed in a one bedroom suite and bed was comfy. Place was clean and quiet.

From the friendly front desk check-in to the spacious comfortable rooms, it is a great place to stay. The breakfast is delicious, and the happy hour with the food certainly can be a meal. I loved being able to sit inside or outside depending on the weather. The lobby area with the computer (for printing boarding passes) is a great convenience. The hotel's location makes it so easy to get to all the shopping, restaurants , aiport and other attractions. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Haven't stayed here for about a year, the place is still the best. They just replaced all the outside furniture and have nice big comfy chairs and fireplaces (needed in January!). They have a great free hot breakfast with Starbucks coffee, and awesome free evening drinks (beer & wine) & food (i.e. they have different hot entre every night (i.e. pizza, beef taco's, hot & sweet wings, sloppy joe's) with salad's, popcorn and veggies every night. Free internet is a huge plus and none of those daily Scottsdale "resort fees." I got one of the King one bedroom suites with a patio, great view, and I was able to sit on the patio and read (with a free glass of wine from happy hour!). Beds were very comfortable, had a small living room with a flat screen tv & sofa, great desk working area with comfortable office type chair. Also had a full kitchen, which I didn't really use. This is a great hotel for someone traveling on business and needs to setup a remote office. Right next door to the hotel are 4-5 restaurants, so you don't really need a car.

We (2 adults and 3 children under 12) stayed at the Gainey Suites Hotel twice, travelling in between stays. It was perfect for us - two bedrooms, two bathrooms and interconnecting lounge and kitchenette. It was laid back, providing hotel amenities without the stuffiness of a hotel. Good location with shops and restaurants on the doorstep and a shuttle service to downtown Scottsdale. Great scenery, great weather, lots to do. Lovely, helpful staff.

We came to Gainey Suites Hotel for a friends wedding. We had a 2 bedroom suite & our adult son from Florida was able to share. We usually get to see our son 5 times a year & this was a pleasant enhancement of out trip. The beakfast buffet was good but would have been better if yoe could order eggs freshly made
