Hampton Inns just rock. The next night I was at an exclusive resort in Tucson....but at the Hampton Inn the day before, the breakfast was better, the room was quieter, internet was FREE, and you got warm cookies before bed, also free. Little fridge, microwave (practically a kitchenette), Nice pool, workout room...really everything you could want and all for $98. Really didn't want to leave!

I'm not sure if this hotel was refurbished recently but it seems to be a very clean environment and one of the newer Hampton Inns I have stayed at.

The check in was quick and courteous and they assigned me a room on the far end in a building that was detached from the main complex. The front desk person suggested I drive around to my room.

After having a bit of a confusion finding my room (the map wasn't to scale) I opened the door to a very clean and new looking room. The bathroom was sparkling clean and the furniture didn't appear to have much prior use. There was an apple cinnamon snack bar along with a bottle of water on the desk (as expected from a Hampton Inn). The desk chair never seemed to be able to rise up to a reasonable height which forced me to raise my hands when I was typing on my laptop on the desk. Internet access was a bit sluggish as well.

The water pressure was standard, if not a bit above average and they supplied the typical Hampton Inn Purity line of shampoos and conditioners (which I kind of find hard to use since the bottles are made of hard plastic - no fault of this hotel).

The breakfast was well above average for a Hampton Inn with a good variety of hot items including a waffle iron (one of my personal favorites). My only minor slight beef is that I have to drive to the front lot and park the car in relatively full lot in order to get to my breakfast.

All in all a good experience for a Hampton Inn however I one thing I don't understand is the relatively expensive rate in comparison to the other "higher end" 3-3.5 star hotels in the area. As such I'd recommend this hotel only for business employee travelers who aren't using personal funds.

Thank you very much for sharing your comments about our hotel. Our housekeeping staff takes a great deal of pride in their work, and we will certainly share your acknowledgement of their efforts. I am sorry you got one of the old maps - we have created a new, more accurate one that we now use. Our hotel is made up of two separate buildings surrounding our pool area, and it can seem like a bit of a hike before that first cup of coffee, if you are staying in the quiet building furthest away from Scottsdale Road. We recently upgraded our internet protocol, so it's surprising to hear you weren't satisfied with it - we will look into that right away, and we are sorry you were not happy with your desk chair. Hampton is looking at a new line of amenities, with more user and environmentally friendly packaging – keep your eyes open for this improvement around the 3rd quarter of this year. We added waffles to the breakfast bar in January, and they are very popular – we’re glad you like them, too. Please let us know when you will be back in the area, so we can show you the changes and be given a chance to earn your loyalty.

Everyone was very nice and welcoming at the hotel. The room was nice, but maybe a bit small, but the batheroom was spacious. Everyone in our group was very happy, except for one room they said smelled of smoke. (hotel is smoke free). The breakfast was nice, with about 3 hot choices, fruit, bagels/english muffins/bread, waffle maker, etc. They close at 10 am, so enough time for late sleepers. They have a nice size pool in the back. Some rooms have patios with very easy access to the pool. I didn't see the exercise room but I hear it was nice. They also had a free shuttle to take you to local destinations. All in all, a very nice stay.

Thank you for submitting your review about our hotel. It is good to know you and your group were happy with the hotel and services we provide. Our exercise room it located in the back building, 1st floor (apparantly we should add more directional signs), and it will be getting a complete makeover in 2011. We are glad you took advantage of our shuttle service – there is so much to see and do in our area, it is nice not to have to worry about directions and parking. We hope you will stay with us again during your next visit to Scottsdale.

Near McCormick Ranch area of Scottsdale, Ariz. Our room was spacious, included small refrigerator, microwave, flat screen TV (with HBO), nice breakfast with buffet offering waffles, eggs, bacon/sausage, cereal, fruit, muffins etc etc. Free parking, enjoyable pool w/jacuzzi, Small detail but enjoyed plastic bag (ice bucket ) that actually easily fit over lip of ice bucket. I love bonus points, and got Hilton, Southwest Air, AND Alamo car reward points, all for the modest price of well under $200.00 TOTAL for two nights. THIS IS A FIND IN SCOTTSDALE.

Travelled for two weeks in and around Phoenix and stayed at three Hampton Inns. Sedona, Scottsdale, Mesa. Each one was great. Staff was friendly every time. Prices varied from $89 - $179. Breakfest was always included: eggs, bacon or sausages, fruit cereals and breads. Would highly recommend. Family travelled on to California and also stayed with this chain because of the great service.
