While the hotel and room were beautiful, our stay was not very comfortable. The bed and pillows were too firm, almost hard, and the sheets were so stiff and noisy I was awakened every time I moved in bed. The hallway lights and noise were distracting enough that we put pillows near the door jamb. The toilet ran all night as well.

This hotel is pretty new with very nice modern rooms that are on the larger side. Very clean. I'm not really into casinos and this is no different complete with older folk and cigarettes. The casino is nice and not Vegas cheesy and is decent size with nice little areas surrounding it to have a drink or snack. The Blue Cayote Cafe is pretty good with decent sushi and Asian fusion food. The decor of the restaurant itself is okay. I recommend sitting outdoors if weather permits. The pool area is nice although I didn't notice a bar. I really loved that this place is located on a reservation complete with native American art and pottery displayed tastefully throughout the hotel. There is a blanket over the end of the bed with a Native American design. The little touches like this make this hotel special. The valet are very nice and there is no charge so be sure to tip. They do check room keys before you get to the elevators. Overall, nice stay and I highly recommend!

Room Tip: We had a view of the pool which was lovely.

Hotel is clean and rooms are normal size. Food quality is average, service at the pool is extremely slow. Staff was scarce at the pool, which is a problem on a hot day when you need an ice cold drink, it took over 30 minutes to get my lunch and there were only 8 people at the pool, when it finally arrived my fries were ice cold. For the money it's a nice place, good value, I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Room Tip: Do not get a room in the back of the hotel near the golf course, they start working early and you he...

We just returned home from a weekend in Phoenix and stayed here. This is a newer hotel with a casino, huge pool area, plenty of free parking (including valet), free wi-fi, no resort fees, soft beds, designer bathrooms, refrigerators, safe, shutters. The rooms were very nice. I was upgraded to a club level room with fantastic view of the golf course, pool, and mountains to the east at no cost. Lots of 20-30 yr old at night for gambling and clubbing, families during day. I would definitely recommend this place. Fantastic AAA rate. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a beautiful facility! The rooms are beautifully appointed, the restaurants are all amazing , the personnel are great and even though there is smoking in the casino it doesn't smell or look smokey and the rest of the property is non smoking and it is easy enough to get away from the smoking areas. unlike many casino resorts you do not have to find your way through the casino floor to get to rooms or food either. There is security for the hotel portion 24/7 and in addition an amazing spa!.
The only downside is that is that the slots do not seem very "loose" and although we like the slots that have fun bonus there were only a few and those were in use all the time so it was hard to get on one. One must understand that you will loose money in a casino - but we like it when it pretends alittle longer...

I had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights from Sunday night thru Wednesday night. The check in was very smooth with great employees giving superb customer service. The rooms were very modern and very clean. They are good size rooms and we had a 5th floor view of the pool and sunrise. Wow. We were with a conference so they fed us three meals a day. The food could only be described as awesome and the employees could not have given any better service. They were friendly, attentive and on the ball at every turn. The pool was great, very nice resort all around. I would certainly jump at the chance to return again. I don't gamble so I did not spend time in the casino and we slept like babies every night. Just a top notch experience I would highly recommend.

A collegue and I stayed at the Talking Stick for two nights after moving over from the Doubletree in Scottsdale. We had a club level room with high ceilings and an amazing view, This hotel is new and modern and has a great wireless connection too. The club level room was worth the upgrade. Becky who is in the club room in the evenings is very nice, with some great recomendations for dining and things to do in the area. I would almost come back just for her (the food was ehhh but the drinks were nice and you can take 2 back to your room per person, which is not typical). After staying at the Talking Stick were we sad we didn't move over from the Doubletree sooner (though we probably would have not gotten as much work done during the week). I would stay here again,.
