Stayed there with another couple who were locals. It was close to the bars in Scottsdale so it is cheap cab ride to entertainment area. It's a nice hotel.. Room was roomy with a nice bathroom and view of the pool. Casino is small but nice. The restaurant downstairs have good food. Definitely would stay there again.

As others have written you can't go anywhere in this hotel with going through the smoker dominated casino. Additionally people are allowed to smoke in all the public areas including elevators and hotel corridors. Service is poor in the restaurants and bars. Waited 20 minutes to get a drink in the bar on multiple occasions. Bars and restaurants are understaffed. Unless you must simply stay there because of the casino, don't waste your money. Hotel rooms are large and well appointed but they are not worth the poor service and fog of cigarette smoke.

Was at resort for a conference and we really enjoyed the property. The rooms are quite modern, very reminiscent of 4 star Las Vegas accommodations. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly, especially the dealers in the casino. The resort has a large pool, and two lovely, albeit pricey golf courses attached. ( as well as the casino). Most of our meals were included as part of the conference (they did a wonderful job putting the conference together) but we did have the opportunity to eat at Orange Sky and the buffet. Orange Sky was a tremendous experience, though it does come with a bit of sticker shock. The food was great, service was excellent, but the view was what was really remarkable. In addition they had Michael Grimm (he won Americas got talent season 5) he is a very talented singer so this did add a certain element of value to what turned out being $150 per person meal. The buffet was about average, both in price, and quality. All in al I would not hesitate going here again, I certainly will put my vote for us using this venue for our convention next year.

Room Tip: Try to get a room up high facing back of property towards the golf courses and mountains, tremendous views

I live near Talking Stick resort and I am a frequent visitor, whether out to meet friends for drinks/happy hour or for a weekend getaway. Love the dueling piano guys too - Lots of fun!! The rooms are classy and modern, the pool is beautiful to cool off in the desert sun. Talking Stick is definitely one of my favorites places (in the Phoenix Valley) to get away and feel as if I am on vacation.

I just came back from a three-day conference held at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale AZ. I loved my room. Very zen, calm, not too little, not too much. I ate a few meals at the Blue Coyote Cafe in the hotel. The price was right, the service lovely. I had a fantastic salad with an excellent vinaigrette. The tournedos was not particularly flavorful, but OK. The staff was great: friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel.
