“tasty Chilean Seabass”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

The sea bass is one of the most popular dishes they serve. This is for good reason. The fish was cooked perfectly and the waiter was willing to provide any substitute for your vegetable . If y oh did not want the one provided. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and the wine menu. The other members of ourr party had different meals and each was prepared perfectly and were very good ... surf and turf and crab cake,
We did have to wait for a long time for our meal to come out. The manager apologized and the waiter provided us with two deserts on the house. A decadent godiva chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a banana fosters with a butter pecan ice cream that was delicious.

“another excellent meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

Came back again for a belated father's day dinner with my family. The food was very good once again, prepared very nicely and presented very nicely.
Our server made the dinner even more pleasant, he was very good and attentive.

“They ran out of Strip Steak!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014 via mobile

What a good restaurant! Why am I only giving it four stars? Well everything perfect, and also a good menu for people who are not big meat eaters. We made two visits, first visit I had the strip - better than Mastros and three dollars cheaper. However went back for last meal of the holiday and they had run out of Strip steak - I have never been to a steakhouse that ran out of steak - such a pity. Next time I book Eddie V's I will have to reserve my steak as well!
However an excellent restaurant - a must visit if you are in Scottsdale.

“First time to Eddie V's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated like royalty by the staff and management. We had reservations so our party of six was seated immediately, unlike other establishments that make you wait until your table is ready. We started with oysters on the half shell($14), which were served with fresh lemon, vinegar and a spicy cocktail sauce. They were so fresh and as good as I've ever had. Half dozen were Katama Bay oysters from Martha's Vineyard while the other six were called Fanny Bay's from the Pacific banks off British Columbia. We also tried the Seafood Bisque($10),which was a beautiful amber color chock full of lobster and shrimp chunks. A bottle of Rodney Strong "Russian River Valley" ($40) was a perfect compliment to most of our entrees. The Lemon Sole($28) appears as two beautifully cooked large filets served with fresh lemon and tartar sauce at the request of my father-in-law. A Chicken Caesar Salad($20) was a more than ample portion of Romaine lettuce and enough white chicken breast meat to feed a small army. The Grouper($29) was a smaller but chunkier version with a lemon, beurre blanc reduction. It was flawless! A Crab Stuffed Shrimp($29) presentation was served as six large breaded shrimp of which my mother-in-law could only devour three. The Wild Salmon($34) Oscar Style($10) was the highlight of the table and tasted by all. It was grilled on a cedar plank and was moist, flakey and another huge portion. To complement our entrees, we added a large order of Au Gratin Potatoes($9) and smaller orders($6) of Sauteed Spinach, Monterey Style Corn
and a Twice Baked Potato. Our server for the evening was Bill, a consummate professional with a sense of humor. We loved having him as our waiter! Management also sent our table a complimentary order of oysters due to a discrepancy in the price, which of course they honored. Honestly, it was one of the most pleasurable, relaxing dining experiences of my lifetime. One of those nights where everything clicked and fell into place. All the dishes were served 'hot', much to my liking. Even the fresh baked bread was served warm with soft butter on the side. One of our parties only complaint was that the noise level in the restaurant was high, but he also said it was the best fish he's ever consumed. It was a birthday celebration for one of the girls in our party, so management surprised us with an incredible elaborate dessert medley that was stunning. One was Eddie V's version of a classic Bananas Foster which was caramelized after Bill doused it with some 151 rum and set it aflame. Served next to it was a generous scoop of Butter Pecan ice cream. A super decedent Chocolate Lave Cake was also served with a chocolate drizzle over it. Both plates were decorated with a "Happy Birthday" written in longhand with chocolate syrup. A perfect finale to a perfect meal!
