While visiting a friend in the Phoenix area we decided to grab a "staycation" (for him) with an evening in Scottsdale, using the pool, dinner in Old Scottsdale.
This hotel was charming. While the exterior design definitely has a late 70s vibe to it, the rooms were absolutely lovely (we had a first floor King). The room had a walkout patio area overlooking a nice green space. We were close to one of the pools, so there was a little noise from children playing, but that's to be expected at a family resort.
There are two pools both open until midnight. The resort offers a shuttle every hour to take guests the two miles down the "strip" to Old Scottsdale. We didn't use the shuttle, but I thought it a nice amenity to mention in the review.
The rooms only offered wired internet (cost), but the lobby offered free wireless. Overall, it was nice to get away for a day. Though, I'm not sure this would be my destination for a full week (unless I planned to do a lot of things offsite...hiking, floating, the river, etc.). Onsite activities are truly limited to the pool.More
