“Secret Menu Item: Loaded Fries”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Loaded fries are not on the menu but you can ask for them. We've been coming to Goldie's for a couple years every Wednesday night after league and we always ask for the loaded fries. It's a hearty appetizer several people can share. Order that with chicken skewers and you are set. They make the loaded fries with two types of cheese, bacon, chives, jalapenos, a side of sour cream. I don't think I left anything off? We don't know why they're not on the menu, but it's kinda fun to know about a secret item. Hats off to the chef! By the way, the waitresses at Goldie's are awesome. Better than those Peaks or Kilt places!

“Kid milk refill$ $$$”
Reviewed 8 February 2014 via mobile

Pop refill for kids are free, extra charge for refill on child size milk?

I guess that also explains all the unhealthy food on the menu.

“Just plain fun”
Reviewed 8 February 2014

Some days all a person really wants is a friendly, relaxing place with something to do besides eat and drink. That's what Goldie's supplies. But the best thing of all, you can get this AND great food and service.
We were staying in a very nice resort, had some great meals and then suddenly simply yearned for a good game of pool and some tasty bar food.

We arrived just before 7 pm to find a wait in the main dining room so headed to the upper floor where there were several seats at the bar at which you are allowed to order dinner. The waitress immediately informed us we still had time to order happy hour drinks and food. She also informed us that there was a limit of 3 margaritas per person as "they were a bit strong." She wasn't kidding, but they were delicious.

For dinner we ordered the black bean soup, the Pepper Jack Focaccia sandwich, and the Goat Cheese and Pancetta Salad. The Focaccia sandwich came with homemade fries and chips (as we chose to do 1/2 and 1/2) and they were crisp and fresh. The sandwich was recommended by the waitress and she was spot on. It wasn't a typical focaccia, instead a bread wrapped around the ingredients and cut in four short pieces, making it easy to eat and perfect for sharing. Salad was tasty, but average salad. Black bean soup was very thick, with a bit of a bite to it, and large pieces of sausage. We liked it, but it could be too thick for some people.

While enjoying our food we were able to play a couple games of pool, and then moved over to the shuffleboard, which we played while watching the opening ceremonies of the Olypmics on some very large screen televisions.

So if you find yourself looking for some good bar food, fun activities and friendly service, Goldie's could be the place for you.
