Very nice hotel! We loved the studio king room. Everything was excellent. We ate at Zu Zu and Trader Vic's and had great meals at both restraunts. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. We will be back.

Loved this hotel. Completely spot-on decor that pays homage to classic 60s modern. Comfortable room with a clean and functional bathroom, big deep tub and exceptional bath products. Great gym and shop. Efficient front desk staff. Casual atmosphere in the lobby, bar and pool all made me want to stay an extra day just for fun. Have to travel to Phoenix on business? This makes it feel like a vacation. my only gripe; no one should pay for wifi anymore. Make it part of the price. Otherwise, a terrific hotel stay.

We stayed here for one night, the hotel was obtained through Hotwire so the price was reasonable. Upon arrival I was told that only valet parking could be in the circle. When I asked the guy where I could park, he told me to park on the street. I was a little surprised that a hotel would have no other place to park for self-parking, even just for check in, but didn't want to pay the $20 to valet. Once I parked, and I checked in, the lady at the desk told me no, the valet guy shouldn't have told us to park on the street, that there were two lots on the side, and gates to get in. Later on we had no problem with parking.

The room was large and comfortable, and the decor was really cool. Even with the retro building it had a really nice chic feel. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean.
The next morning we went to the pool. It is a little small, but there were only a few people in it and a pool attendant. We went to the lounge chairs and the pool attendant brought ice water for everyone (without asking), so this was nice. Later the pool attendant gave us some floating chairs and also the foam noodles. My girl thought this was cool and that she was a big girl because of it. They also have sunscreen and other amenities available at the pool, and most seemed to be without extra charge. It was a very nice experience.

My wife and I stayed here and had a blast. The location is extremely accessible and has convenient access to downtown Scottsdale. The modern retro feel of the location is fantastic and we felt like we were starlets being spoiled.

The rooms were very modern, smelled great, and was extremely clean. The pool was a great time and the staff very attentive.

Liked that parking was free and easily accessible. The only minor thing is that there are no escalators/elevators to the top floor of the villa rooms but the staff helped us with that.

My husband and I just celebrated our wedding anniversary there and just loved the property. As an interior designer, I was very impressed with the restoration of Valley Ho and thought they have done an exceptional job with their do over. The studio rooms with the free floating tub were just darling and very spacious. Would highly recommend this to couples wanting to get away for a a few days. The location is very central to many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hip and cool!

For travellers with a sense of hotel history this is a must see, must stay. the attention to detail and care that has gone into restoring this 1956 icon to even better than its original is laudible. The small details and quality, especially within the rooms elevates this hotel above most of the other so called 5 star competitiors we stayed at during our 11 hotel, 19 day trip.
Congratulations to the management and owners.
And Trader Vic's restaurant (as well as ZuZu) food was amazing. The best we had in the whole USA.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Valley Ho as one of our stops in Phoenix. Pros: The hotel itself is really beautiful with it's recent renovation and is listed as an Historic Hotel. The rooms were lovely, very hip and modern with a 50's retro feel. Enjoyed the big bathtub, shower and the best lighting I've ever seen in a hotel. Do not miss an opportunity to enjoy Happy Hour at Trader Vics or a "Mai Tai" at the pool. It is within walking distance to Old Town and the trolley stops at the front of the hotel Cons: While we would highly recommend a stay here it seems that the hotel itself does not provide very much information about what is available in terms of restaurants and amenities. I did have to ask the conceirge just to get a brochure on the property. We also had some un-identifiable charges on our bill which the hotel graciously refunded. Parking is free(although you may have quite a walk to your car) or you can valet for $14 per day.
