Charging any more than $89 for the room is a crime. Came for a baseball tourney and stayed with the team. We booked at least a dozen rooms. They only offer double beds or king beds, no adjoining rooms. Crowded! If you were working at the desk, you couldn't get in or out the door. Bathroom barely larger than the one on the airplane. Person sleeping next to air conditioner needs extra blankets and ear plugs. Hard to enjoy the pool with scottsdale air traffic overhead every day. Pool not clean, bathroom not clean. Not worth the $$ at all.

Stayed here for just one night to attend my company party in Scottsdale. This place is right on Scottsdale Rd. Great location if you need to get to Old Town or Kierland. Price was great. It is not the fanciest hotel but very clean and very efficient. Room was a great size. They had complimantary breakfast and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: This hotel is 2 story and the rooms are entered from outside FYI. So when you open your door your ou...

we came to scottsdale for a couple of special family events. our first day - no water. front desk knows nothing about it and will check and call back. 30 minutes later we are told it will be back on in a bit - hour later finally - water. run out to do some errands and come back to get ready for our evening. again, no water - no shower, no flushing toilet, no drinking water. again, front desk knows nothing - will check and call back. they never call back and we are on a time constraint. finally have to run to friends to get ready and end up arriving late to our function. no apology from management or wanting to do anything the rectify situation. the next day - no water - no warning or explanation. then our room smells like cigarette smoke one morning. it is suppose to be a smoke free building. call front desk and i'm told that they can't do anything about it till housekeeping goes into a room and notifies them of smoke! that night the cigarette smell is so bad that i call front desk again. they say they can move us to another room - it's midnight! why should i be inconvenienced? they offer to give me a marriott card and maybe get "extra" points for our inconvenience! upon checkout, i go to talk to management about the problems with our stay and am told that the manager is busy and will call me in 15 minutes. needless, to say, we have heard nothing from the fairfield inn and that's over 24 hours and we are back to our home. very disappointed in how things were handled. a couple of days with inconsistent water service and then two days of room smelling of cigarette smoke and no contact from management to help with the situations.

Fairfield inn is conveniently located between the Scottsdale and Phoenix Mayo Campuses . The price is the lowest I could find and the service is friendly, helpful, and caring. The rooms are spotless and fresh as are the pool and workout area. This place is FANTASTIC. THANK YOU.

Had to stop in Scottsdale en route to San Diego and this proved to be a very nice, comfortable and convenient choice.

On arrival, found that somehow the Marriott reservation system had dropped me through the cracks. When the reception staff couldn't help, they immediately put me through to someone at another location who set up a reservation for me, so we were able to check in within another 5 minutes. Not at all unsatisfactory service.

Shortly after getting into our room, there was a message from the front desk asking if everything was ok. There was no Kleenex but one arrived in a couple of minutes time.

Bed was comfortable, room was roomy enough and the bathroom was clean. Can't ask for much more than that.

We had room 118 and were able to park our car right outside our door. Very convenient.

Several good choices for dinner within a couple of minutes walk: A very good sandwich shop, a Starbucks, an Asian food place, an Italian bistro type place, a sports bar, a more up scale Italian restaurant, a vegetarian type place, and probably several more.

We chose the sandwich place because we wanted something quick, without fuss or pretensions. Sandwiches were excellent and the Oreo malt was just grand: Enough of a sugar rush to keep me flying for a day or two.......

Breakfast in the hotel was perhaps a mite crowded in the seating area, but otherwise just fine. I personally don't like turkey sausage, but the eggs were good and there were enough other things that virtually anyone should be able to come away satisfied and ready for anything the day can bring on. Coffee is good and actually has a bit of a kick to it!!

All this to say that we were pleased with our stay, even though it is not among the best in which we have stayed.

Room Tip: 118 worked for us: Quiet, with our car parked a few yards from our door.

We stayed for one night in February. The front desk lady was great and gave me what I would consider the best room in the hotel--third floor, all the way at the back. The room was quiet and sleep quality was therefore good. The bed was comfy and the heater/cooler fan was one that could be set to "constant" so that we weren't woken up constantly during the night. I was surprised that the first two floors had the old-style doors opening directly to the outside. I was also surprised at how TINY the rooms were. The coat rack was just a rack, hung directly above the small TV. If you were to hang anything on it, you would not be able to see the TV. The bathroom was also tiny. When I tried to redirect the flow of the shower head, the shower head turned out to not be attached to the wall at all, so it just pulled out of the hole, piples and all. Bottom line: we had a fine night of sleep, which is more than can be said for many of the more fancy and expensive hotels in the north Scottsdale area. But be aware the hotel rooms are teeny and you need to stay on the third floor if you want a room that doesn't open directly onto the outside. The warm cookies at check-in were a nice touch.

We arrived in AZ assuming that we are going to a certain hotel but when we got there it was sold out.We called several hotels and we got this lonely feeling in a far away place. Finally we called the Fairfield and Steve picked up the phone we right away felt the warmth in his voice. We went over and there he was to greet us cheerfully. The price is affordable .The property is kept immaculate and clean. The pool is in the right angle to receive an abundance of sunshine for a good tan with a nice garden surrounding it. The staff are extremely warm and aware to the needs of the guests. The beds are good and enhance the sleep quality. When we had to leave to meet up a group elsewhere in a resort we still commented that the sleep in the Fairfield was of much better quality, and the overall warmth was incomparable. When we get back to NYC we will make sure that our extended family and community get to come to this place.
