I'd seen the Orange Tree Golf Resort a few years ago, but already had reservations elsewhere. We just needed one night before we could check-in at Sedona. This property and location were perfect. Randall, Bell Captain, was extremely helpful in getting our car rental squared away and Rod Lipman, Customer Service (I think), was very polite, informative and accommodating. We will definitely return to this lovely property.,

Do not stay at this property. Poor Security, and poor Service.
in stayed at this property, First Day no Air Conditioning, 2nd ay no air conditioning. Third day, no maid service.

4th Day, Maid Walks enters room without authorisation, when dead bolt was on the room.

Found out later dead bolt was not working.

Hotel promised compensation, and upon leaving property told, no charges pending.

After leaving the property hotel Management placed charges on credit card.

Most people may not have the kind of vacation we did but just in case there are a few of you out there, we recommend the Orange Tree Golf Resort. First - we don't golf - but the course was beautifully landscaped and lovely to look at from our room. Second - my husband was writing his master's thesis on a deadline, so he had to stay in while I explored the Valley of the Sun (Scottsdale, Phoenix etc.) I had lovely adventures around the area and there was a beautiful 'home' to return too, with small kitchenette and giant jacuzzi bath tub. And REALLY comfortable beds! My husband had a light-filled pleasant room to work in all day and easy internet access, so both of us could vacation the way we needed to.

Room Tip: Go for a corner room facing the golf course.

Everyone seems to complain about the parking and walking situation. If you want a motor hotel, go stay at one. The fact is, having the parking away from the rooms diminishes the vehicle noise, pollution and overall commotion associated with a parking lot. When you open your door to your deck, all you hear are birds and the occasional crack of someone teeing off from hole#1. Walking around the grounds is so serene and enjoyable, I would often decline offers to drive me to my car from the bellman. I have been coming to this resort for 15+ years now as its location in North Scottsdale is superb.

5 Nites and we rarely left the resort. Yes we picked up groceries, and went out to an occasional meal. But this resort allowed us to play golf, and join activities with their Director Brenda. we went on walks, participated in water aerobics, hikes etc... The staff were always asking if we needed something...even at check out we were asked if there was anything they might have done better..Now I am picky ..but in this case I am pleased. We came to relax, we opted to have room cleaned every other day, and let the bell man give us a ride in golf cart if we had much to carry as rooms are away from parking lot.. As we had to leave we (and this is a first for us) purchased a bouquet of flowers for the Activity Director..We have only appreciation for a staff that worked to make our vacation so enjoyable

Room Tip: Ask for what you need..we were listened to..

This is an overpriced resort. The cleaning services did not come for four days and we had to phone three times before we got towels. Pool area was insane, kids unattended jumping into the hot tub with toys and drinks. Parking is terrible usually ended up parking far away from our room. No food services had to buy our breakfast, lunch and dinner away from resort. When it took us a complete day to get towels there were no apologies or offers to compensate us for any inconveniences. This place was the most unclassy overpriced resort I have ever stayed at. If you like to be treated well and not harassed I suggest you go elsewhere.

Overall, the whole family enjoyed our 6 night stay. Kids loved the pool and mom loved the hot tub. Housekeeping was great--they even washed our dishes. Very nice and helpful people working at the bell desk. Dave especially. Lots of restaurants nearby. Borrowed board games and DVDs from front desk. Good location for getting to spring training games. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the pillows, which were lumpy and uncomfortable. But this will not keep us from returning. Beautiful golf course.

Room Tip: Ask for room close to parking.
