“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2014 via mobile

As far as Residence Inns go this is average. Pros: great location for shopping, restaurants and golf. Can walk to Trader Joes. Cons: this property only has studio or two bedroom units (no one bedroom). Ask for a second floor room away from the pool and sport court if you want quiet.

Thanks for taking the time to review our property. We’re glad that you enjoyed our central Scottsdale location with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Typically our guests are respectful of other guests’ need for quiet, particulary after 10pm. We appreciate your recommendation to request a second floor room, away from the pool area for an even quieter stay. Although our property does not offer one bedroom suites, our two bedroom suites offer two separate bedrooms, two separate bathrooms, with living room and full kitchen; providing plenty of space and privacy to our guests who need to share the space. Thank you for choosing Residence Inn Scottsdale Paradise Valley and we hope to see you again soon!

Whenever we travel, we try to stay at a Residence Inn. There are so many amenities and the hotels are always clean and comfortable. The laundry facilities are so nice when you are traveling for a long time - you can pack much lighter! We really enjoy the free breakfast in the morning and their socials in the evening. The pool was very clean at this hotel and the beds were super-comfortable. There are three excellent restaurants a short walk across the street in the shopping area. Very convenient!

Their service is top-of-line, the rooms are huge, full-kitchen that makes you feel at home, full-size refrigerator and modern appliances and cabinets are filled with everything from pots and pans to measuring cups (You can really cook a home-made meal here). Pool are has 2 BBQ grills if you wish to grill your food. Their breakfast is big and you taste the value, and they have social hours every afternoon where they feed you dinner and free beer/wine. They have a pool, hot tub, basketball court. Hotel is located next to a Scottsdale Trolley Bus Stop that takes you to restaurants and local hot spots free of charge. High-Class area, Houston’s, Italian, Mexican, and other fine dining within walking distance. I stayed here for 12 nights and it was the best experience ever.

We have stayed at this property many times in the past, but I have never actually taken the time to review it. We just returned from a 7-night stay here and the service and room measured up to our expectations like always. In fact, it appears they have renovated the rooms since our last stay here a couple of years ago. The morning breakfast and evening reception were both always well stocked and staffed. The staff also always goes out of their way to be helpful and pleasant.

There are few "Non-Resort" properties in The Scottsdale, AZ area that can provide you with "Resort Peace" without "Resort Price" as this RI!

Located on Scottsdale, Ave, you will have the advantage of a great location, full kitchen, wonderful pool, free parking, free full breakfast and a fantastic staff to aid you!

Having stayed for a full week the last four years, in January, I would never go back to small, expensive rooms at "Resorts or Spa's".

The provide me with the same room each year and it's "Home away from home" at a most reasonable price. I can walk from there to Walgreens, Trader Joe's and my favorite food market "AJ's"! If I just want to relax and enjoy a meal in my room, no problem, I have a wonderful place to dine, and all the support for a fine meal. Wow! what a way for a family to save money, and if I don't eat it all, "Put it in the fridge"!

I look forward to going back each year to enjoy the fine Winter weather and the wonderful people who serve their guests!

Room Tip: Book early!

This property was everything it promised to be. The staff is accommodating, and patient. We had a pup and bikes, so lots of requirements, and they were very helpful suggesting which room would be best for us. Internet was easy and quick, lots of restaurants nearby, and we had a kitchen for left overs. It was quiet even though it is located on a busy road.

Room Tip: Away from the main road

We've enjoyed our stays at Residence Inns so we chose this one in Scottsdale. We're more interested in being comfortable, having kitchen facilities, easy parking, no crowded and fussy lobbies to trek through. Free internet that is accessible. This hotel is well-located near shopping, many restaurants, other attractions. The rooms are big enough and comfortable with a sitting area. Rates were fine for tourist season. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was ample and as tasty as such meals are going to get. The one downside was having an upstairs neighbor who liked to tramp around at 5 a.m. It's not the quietest place you're going to stay.
