“Very nice hotel for anyone to stay at”
Reviewed 27 May 2010

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, housekeeping fulfilled any requests we had, breakfast was provided and very good. Pool and poolside seating was nice...just the whirlpool spa needs some attention (jets seemed weak). Not noisy at all, just relaxing place to stay. Free parking too.

Checked into a 2 bedroom suite, facing the busy street, wasn't bothered by the traffic(soundproof). They only have wireless(WIFI) in the lobby. The suite had wired only at the desk.
The kitchen was very large, sitting area, couch, coffee table and 2 chairs( with overhead ceiling fan) even a working fireplace. The furniture seemed old , from the 80's.
Basketball court, pool, spa were nearby. Evening wine/beer and light meal inculsive.
Note: They leave a bottle of water in the fridge. If you open it, your billed few dollars.

We stayed at the Scottsdale Residence Inn last weekend . We were in town for a family event and needed a convenient location. The rooms and facilities were comfortable. The hotel has been around for a while and is starting to show its' age. The room could use some updating. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of items to choice from. Overall this is a good value.

In a location where there are so many resorts, we were tempted to go to a resort. My husband had meetings, but I spent time working from the room and enjoying the outside. We were so glad we came to this hotel. Clean! Roomy! Who wants to work on a computer in a cramped bedroom, when you could have a large suite, with kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, etc.). The value for the money was unbeatable - free hot breakfasts! Free internet! Nice pool with cool water. Laundry facility! Helpful front desk. The big resorts might have some catchy rates sometimes, but they'll probably charge a lot for breakfast, internet, resort fee, etc. There were restaurants and shopping within walking distance. For being stuck there during the day while my husband went to his meetings - I found this place wonderful! It was everything I needed, and more than expected! Location is very good, too - more convenient - less scenic. I went for walks, runs, enjoyed the pool - which had chairs, tables, chaise lounges (all with nice padding!), hot tub, decent and clean pool, nice outside flooring. Almost forgot - free happy hours! Food (not just crackers) - variety of drinks, including wine/beer each night. You could live here without leaving the hotel! Free parking, too. What was there not to like? Nothing!

My family and I reserved two 2 bedroom suites in bulding 15, 1512 and 1521 as we were going to spring training. We were there from March 5th to the 9th and, for the most part, it was a nice stay. Unfortunately, directly across from us, in 1511, was a family with two barking dogs. They were always left alone during the day, also sometimes in to the evening and NEVER stopped barking. We complained to the front desk and they said these people had been there for 6 months and they had received complaints about the dogs before. Obviously, the complaints hadn't carried mich weight because they were still there.....and still barking.
With the exception of that, it was a fine stay. We were approximately 10 minutes from Scottsdale stadium and also close to downtown Scottsdale and Scottsdale's old town.
The breakfast was more than satisfying, the pool area was fine and had a small basketball court as well as a barbecue area and the hotel was directly across the street from a strip mall with more than one restaurant and within walking distance of a few others.
Overall, if you can avoid building 15 and the dogs, I can recommend this place.

The room that we got was spacious and had all the amenities. The kitchen itself seem dated, but everything was clean. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly. So friendly that they mailed clothes we had left behind! I would recommend the Residence Inn without hesitation.

Residence Inn is PERFECT for small families and long term stays.

We travelled with a 4 month old baby and we booked a suite with a kitchenette - which helped a lot!

It was clean and the service was great.

Breakfast was included with our stay - we were expecting muffins and coffee but it was GREAT! Some things they served were waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, french toast, fruit, muffin, cereal, etc. Very good!

They also provided a grocery service. We were able to give a list to the front desk (before 9am) and they would have the groceries delivered to our room by 6 pm that same day!

They also had a BBQ area by the pool - so you can BBQ with your family if you wanted to!

Pets were allowed for a fee - $75/dog, I think.

Overall it was a great stay and would go there again!
