“Well appointed spacious suites. Great service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013

I would rate this hotel facility better than the Marriott in Scottsdale. The staff service was fantastic. I felt well pampered during my stay here; I had people providing me with drinks and snacks without asking. The rooms were very clean and come with free wifi if you sign up with the free Fairmont President membership program.
The fitness room is comprised mainly of weight machines, and several treadmills/ cycles. No rowers.
The grounds on which the Fairmont is situated is well kept with a number of ponds, including one that you can fish talipia and catfish. Certainly well worth an evening stroll when the temperature is cool enough.
If you are going to attend seminars at the Spears education center for cerec training, this is the perfect place to stay. Only a five minute walk if you are so inclined or the hotel offers shuttle ride whenever you need it. The Farimont also allows for a discount if you are attending the Spears centre.

The casitas are very spacious. Service is great and the property is beautiful.

The hotel is relatively far from the city. There aren't a lot of places nearby if you want to walk so your best bet is to stay at the property. The Mexican restaurant was very good! I also recommend the ATV tour in the desert depending on the time of the year you visit Scottsdale.

Like other Fairmonts they charge you dearly for using the fitness center, drinking bottle of water at your room, using of phone, using the internet, or having breakfast.

We live in phoenix and had all the wonderful choices for Labor Day weekend that scottsdale had to offer! We choose the princess because they seemed to have a lot going on for families. It was amazing !! Radio Disney was there, a kids club, movie by the pool and fireworks!!!! An amazing weekend

Room Tip: By the pool with the kids

Dear Vivedetravel,

Thank you for "staycationing" with us Labor Day weekend! We are delighted you and your family could have fun with us, Radio Disney and all of the activities for the last weekend of summer. Mark your calendar for our "Christmas at the Princess" festival, November 21 - January 5, where we will have the Desert Ice Skating Rink, over a million holiday lights on the lagoons and a 4-story musical tree! The tree lighting is November 21, open to the public and Radio Disney will be there starting at 5:30 p.m.! We appreciate the opportunity to help create vacation memories for you and your family.

Sincerely.

We had a nice room at this place but it was on a walkway to the parking lot so when we tried to enjoy the morning about 50 people walked by to stare at us. It was raining most of the time so we did not get to enjoy the place too much which made me regret booking the place since it was expensive and we also had to pay a ripoff $29 a day resort fee!! The service at the sports bar was very bad. When it takes 15 minutes to get mayo for your $16 basic burger something is wrong. I am sure I won't return here.

I don't really consider this a 5 star resort for a few reasons. First of all, on Labor Day weekend we were made to wear wristbands like we were in some rinky dink place. They had security guards at every entrance to the pools and they warned us that we couldn't take in any outside food or drink. They didn't look in our beach bag but an affluent 70ish couple going in were made to open their bag. God forbid they can't sell you a $6.00 Coke. Very tacky indeed. They nickel and dime you on most everything and the pools weren't very clean. Probably because of the 300 small children playing pool games. Granted there were adult pools but they did not have the shade the kids pool did and it was hot. The rooms are pretty nice though.

Dear ATriece,

Thank you for joining us during for our end of summer Labor Day Dreamcation weekend. We value your candid feedback on what is one of our most popular Legacy Events. On holiday weekends, we have the wristband procedure in place to assure the exclusivity of our resort, with added entertainment, activities and amenities for our overnight guests. We greatly appreciate you sharing your experience, as our goal is to provide you with a fun, memorable, Five-Diamond vacation. We will review your comments regarding the pool, as our primary concern is for the safety of our guests with potentially bringing in glass, for example. We sincerely apologize your visit did not meet yours or our expectations of relaxation. Should your travels bring you back to Arizona, we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again.

I visited the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel for a conference in September 2013. The rooms were very nice and they had comfortable chairs on the balconies. The service at all points of the hotel was excellent! The only problem I had was in trying to find a glass of wine or light snack during the afternoon hours. Only the bar pool/cabana was open and the atmosphere wasn't what I was looking for. The Hotel has several very nice bars, they just don't open until 5pm.

Booked a two week stay had a great holiday until booking out. Parking and Internet advertised as free however no free Internet and charged for daily parking felt totally ripped off as my complaint fell on deaf ears. What's even more offensive I travelled to Vegas and still charged to park my car on the nights I was not there!
