“What a ride!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

Wow, the scenery was great!. But the road was like a roller coaster ride. Came down from Flagstaff and the road was mostly all down hill and winding. But the views are worth it.

“Beautiful drive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

When heading to Flagstaff upon leaving Sedona or approaching Sedona from Flagstaff, don't drive back out to the freeway, make the trip up Oak Creek Canyon. This is a beautiful and memorable drive with lots of places to stop and admire the beauty. Steep canyon walls, beautiful shaded areas to visit along side the creek. Have made this trip a couple of times. It's well worth the time and the trip. Slow down and enjoy the beauty of this area.

“Beautiful!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

You will not be disappointed by the beauty of this natural wonder! Take the time to go and see Slide Rock State Park while you are here, too! And bring your camera with plenty of memory on the digital card!! You'll need it!

“Slippery !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

Take care, else you are bound to get hurt. Go with water shoes if you want to have a good time, than getting hurt. Long weekends are crazy and getting parking is tough...go early or towards later in the evening. Though it might be hot, water is chilly..nice place...love to visit again

“Worth the drive!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2013

We decided to take 89A (on a suggestion from a friend who had traveled this road) and by pass the highway and we are so glad we did. Although this road is twisty and winding at times, the beautiful trees make the drive worth all of it!!! I had to have my husband stop countless times to take shots of the creek and trees!! The colors, at this time of year, were outstanding!!! If you don't care for twisty winding roads then this is not for you but if you don't mind going a little slower and taking in the awesomeness of nature......then I definitely recommend this route!! Maybe a week day would be best, though, as we went through on a Sunday and there was a lot of traffic going both ways.
