Description: One special menu is presented each night by Chef Brian Widmer. The fixed price meal includes homemade bread, soup, salad, the featured entree, dessert and coffee. (Dietary restrictions are happily accommodated with advance notice.) With limited seating guests often share a table. Over the years our guests have often told us of friendships forged while enjoying a delicious dinner; for many it is part of the unique experience that is "Garland's Lodge." All are seated when the dinner bell rings at 7 P.M.

A grand old rustic restaurant on the creek but still very overpriced. A second visit and our last I'm afraid.

You will not be disappointed! A little slice of nirvana set in the middle of Oak Creek Canyon. Although you do not select from a menu the food is always an extremely good 5 course meal! Be sure to get there early to enjoy a cocktail and a stroll around the grounds; extremely peaceful and relaxing. I always look forward to not only the food but a stay in lodge. I very much look forward to our next visit!! 5 Star rating all the way!

We live in Sedona and the reputation of Garlands goes back over a couple of decades. We were entertaining guests from out of town. Of all the fine dining in Sedona, decided to try Garlands for the first time, so our guests could enjoy the experience of going back in time to an old log structure on Oak Creek. We should have read Trip Advisor reviews before making this bad decision. The food was some of the worst we have ever tasted. There was NO choice of what you are served!!! It was a family style service and the main dish was some horrid thing called, "Chicken Mole." It tasted like it's name! I hate chicken to begin with, and it is the LAST thing I would ever order when going out to eat, much less paying the ridiculous price Garlands charged. I could not eat the majority of food that was available. The tables were too close together and we had no sense of privacy with our guests whatsoever. It was like something you may have gotten back in the 1940's right after WWll. We will never go back there again. The place needs to be upgraded. It was dim and rather dank inside because of being down at creek level. I was very uncomfortable and rather embarrassed to be honest that everyone had to suffer through such an awful dinner. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

Food was good but not spectacular but the settings to die for. Old ponderosa pine lodge with great fireplace. Cozy and inviting. The serve a set menu of one item each night. We didn't reserve well in advance so had a choice of pork tenderloin. Or chicken night. Best is filet and duck nights so call well in advance.

The setting is remarkable. We loved the shared dinner experience. What an outstanding way to meet other travelers. Next time we'd want to stay on the premises, it's that charming.
