My husband and I called at the last minutes for 1 night and they were able to accomodate us. We were upgraded to a cottage by the creek. From the moment we arrived, through the check in process, dinner by the creek and our couples message it was clear that this resort focuses on the guest. What an incredible experience. My only regret was it was only for one night. I HIGHLY recommend this resort and will be returning myself as soon as possible! Extremely impressive!!

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing - a special thank you to Scott at the welcome desk. The cottage we stayed in was truly lovely with a wood-burning fireplace, a deck and outdoor shower. Very peaceful spot. Enjoyed free yoga, coffee and scones in the morning. Had dessert at night at the restaurant outdoors overlooking the river. A really romantic and truly special spot. Great proxmity to the main drag in Sedona.

This was our first trip to the Auberge and we certainly hope it won't be our last. What a beautiful spot on the creek for relaxation and reflection. It is close to everything and the staff was wonderful - always there to help and full of suggestions for exploration. We stayed in the garden cabins and loved it - a fire in the evening, fresh scones and coffee in the morning and cookies waiting on your return in the afternoon. Great evenings on the patio by the creek for drinks or a light dinner and a big surprise our last morning to wake up and find snow everywhere. It was breathtaking!

Room Tip: The garden cabins are close to the lobby

We returned last week from a mini vacation in Sedona and Phoenix. L'Auberge is a beautiful hotel. We did not take advantage of any of the spa services or the restaurant as we were only there a short time. We spent most of the days hiking in the area. My husband and I stayed in the lodge. They also have cabins available. It's in a beautiful wooded setting along a small creek. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We enjoyed sitting by the fire in the lodge each night as the weather was colder than we expected. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We had breakfast at a quaint dinner called the Coffee Pot and also had breakfast at the Red Rock Cafe. We had dinner at the Open Range which is a restaurant that has views of the red rocks.

From the moment I arrived as a solo traveler for a week long stay at L'Auberge, I felt comfortable and welcome. It reminded me very much of a Nantucket or Hamptons style beach oasis in the desert - modern, new, homey, clean, fresh while maintaining the authenticity of a desert retreat. The staff is extremely kind, attentive and accommodating. Russell at the bar was one of my favorites. The rooms are absolutely beautiful - I had a cottage with a fireplace near the river - highly recommend. The food is 3 star Michelin - truly excellent - the menu is expensive but worth it. And the little added touches really enhance the experience - like free coffee and scones in the morning, duck feeding by the river, a complementary glass of wine (the wine list is excellent), free yoga etc. This is a 5 star resort that completely elevated my trip to Sedona. Having been all over the world and stayed in many fabulous places, L'Auberge is in a league of its own. The spa is currently under construction but should be complete at the end of the month - can't wait to return!

Room Tip: As for a cottage near the river

My husband and I stayed at L'Auberge for two nights utilizing a Travelzoo special, which turned out to be an awesome deal ($189/night for a lodge room, with a $25 credit per day for food and beverage). If you get this deal, be sure to make sure you got the credit when you check out - we had to mention it. Normally the lodge rooms are at least $295/night. All the staff we dealt with were fabulous and upbeat. The lodge was really nice also. The only negatives about the room are that the bathroom is extremely small, there is no pay-for-view TV (although there are a lot of channels), and it was too hot at night in the room. The room safe was very much appreciated.

As others have mentioned, the restaurant is extremely pricey. We had many of the same dishes in the bar area and that was cheaper, especially after utilizing our food and beverage credit. The food is really good and creative.

There are free cookies in the arrivals cottage around 3:30 every afternoon, which I highly recommend. We also attended the Friday evening stargazing, which was fun. Be sure to tip the astronomer - we almost missed seeing the tip jar.

If we ever return to Sedona, we would love to stay here again.
