“Nice Retreat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 January 2012

I was here on a business retreat and had a great cabin. Overall the staff was great and I was pleased with eveything. I would recommend this location to anyone but it would be awesome for a couples getaway.

This was one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed at! The room was so fabulous, we stayed in 2 of the 3 nights we were there. It was so relaxing! The staff is impeccable! I love the no tipping, it was very convenient and took the stress away that normal hotels feel w the tipping. The valet staff is awesome! It's definitely worth the money to stay here! I can't wait to go back!

Sedona is one of our favorite places. We enjoy the well-marked amazing hiking trails and the relative ease in getting here, two hours from PHX. We have now found what I think is the best place to stay in Sedona..without any equal ... L Auberge de Sedona. We have been to Sedona three other times in the last 18 months staying at Poco Diablo ( very nice, although more basic) and the much smaller Adobe Grande Villas which I thought was very nice with great rooms, nice small staff w a less awesome broader environment ( besides very nice gardening, without on-property scenery of any type ).

How we could have not known and already tried L Auberge was a mistake but we have now... (...better late than more late!) The site right on gorgeous Oak Creek, complete with ducks, is absolutely gorgeous, with the warmest, most attentive, well trained, professional staff. They seem to to want to do everything they can for you! With gratuities being included it adds to the feeling of genuine-ness. Beautiful Vista Cottage with large bath, ( sitting on the deck right now enjoying the views of red rocks) salt water pool, totally first class spa. Being close ( right up the driveway, which yields a quieter secluded feel to the resort) to uptown really is a nice thing if you do not want to eat every meal on property ) or want to simply take a walk for something else. The staff is so focused trying to help. From the super attentive everytime greetings from the valet staff to Jesse who welcomed us, sat us down and offered us cider and a fresh bakery item while he checked us in. Ryan the front desk manager, and the manager Dan, are people who we have already met who go so far out of their way to be friendly and helpful each time we see them. It has a feel of generousity, luxury, beauty and complete professionalism. I m sure that the top layers of management must be exxceptional for the quality to permeate everywhere at this resort. We have stayed at a lot of incredible places with terrific staffs but never a place as perfect as L Auberge. Worth every single penny if you want extreme thoughtfulness and everything perfect.

Room Tip: Creek Cottages probably hear the sound of the creek, and they may be the most exceptional, but I wo...

My husband and I love this resort; we first visited it as a couple a few times and then decided to hold our wedding here in September of 2008. The wedding was small (30 guests) and it could not have been a more perfect location. The setting was intimate and beautiful. We had the river side wedding and followed up with a Sunday champagne brunch on the lawn, the colors, the food and the staff were incredible. We had a honeymoon cabin on the river with great accommodations. Looking forward to our 5th wedding anniversary! Breakfast at the resort the following morning was lovely, we sat outside on the patio and watched the ducks, and it was so peaceful and calming after the prior day’s festivities. Very fond memories to reflect on – L’Auberge did offer a nice wedding package back then – I do not believe the same holds true today – my daughter is getting married next year and we contacted the resort and the prices were so out of reach for a party of 50. She had to look else where – she was very disappointed as she remembered how beautiful my wedding was…

Stayed in the 'Lodge' versus a separate cabin and view was fantastic. Right next door to spa, pool and hot tub so just a 'robe' walk away. Services at spa pricey but definitely worth signing up for 1 or 2. Everyone is charged a 'service fee', and a fantastic idea as resulted in no tipping required and service was 5-star. Another great idea was the constant availability of bottled water everywhere, and when the valet got our car ready to depart, he actually took out the trash from our car in put in 2 fresh bottles of water for our trip. Unbelieveable! Restaurant choices were pricey and not to our liking, so we just went 20 feet thru the fence between L'Auberge and Amara resorts and had dinner at Amara's restaurant 100 Rox - much better prices, service and selection along with fantastic live guitar music. If you want to buy the musician a drink - he loves Irish Wiskey.

Room Tip: They will try to up-sell the single bungalos, but the rooms in the Lodge had great views from the ba...

Stopped at the L'Auberge de Sedona for lunch while we were in Sedona for the day. It had been recommended by friends. It started with valet parking (no cost, no tip wow!). We walked around enjoying the view. Just great. It sits next to a creek with the waters rippling by. They have outdoor eating right down nearly to the creek with some tables with overhead heaters. We ate in this day. We looked at the menu and thought, a little pricy for lunch, but let me tell you, when the lunch arrived all thoughts of price went out the window. Lunch was spectacular! The service was professional, helpful, courteos and friendly. It was an entirely enjoyable time and we would not hestitate to reommend nor would we hesitate to return to the LAuberge de Sedona. We did not stay here unfortunately, but if the restaurant is any indication of the hotel its the place to go.

We cannot thank the staff at L'Auberge de Sedona enough. They truly Welcome you from the minute you drive up, the staff is right there with water (which for us after a long drive was much appreciated) You are escorted in to the main registration area as they load your bags for you. There we found treats and hot apple cider. Ryan checked us in and was very helpful with suggestions of things to do in the area and at the resort, that night we chose to do the Stargazing with Michael. Michael is very passionate and one of the most knowledgeable people i have met in regards to the astronomy. We were escorted to our creekside room where a pet bed, 2 bowls, and a box of treats with a sign welcome Josie were left out for our dog. An excellent touch. The view was outstanding of red rocks and the creek, and the woodburning fireplace was already stacked with sweet smelling Juniper for us to light. I believe they even asked if we needed help to light it. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, not too firm or too soft, and soft pillows. There was complimentary water all over the room which was a nice touch. The room had an outdoor shower as well as an indoor. We went to the bar that evening late for cocktails and dinner, the ginger pear martini was outstanding and Russell was brilliant to chat with. We ended up having so much fun at the bar that we missed dinner in the restaurant, however they gladly served us in the Bar area which was fine by us. In the morning they had organized yoga as well. We will be back.
