“The best stay in Sedona with the best views”
Reviewed 10 March 2011

My wife and I stayed here for six nights during February. It snowed 5 inches and the views were amazing. Humming birds in the snow, amazing. The hosts are very attentive and give a very good orientaiton session which helps greatly with where to eat and what to see. The location is ideal because it is just outside of town and is very quiet. If you want to take good pictures climb up the hill behind the B&B at sunset. My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub outside at night looking at the stars. Just a wonderful place to stay with easy access to the Grand Canyon and surround areas. We are already planning a return trip. Regards, John & Melissa

I guess I'm a little puzzled about all the 5 star, perfect reviews. Our stay was very nice, but there were several things that made it miss the 5 star rating. I've stayed at many B&Bs and know what can be expected at a great one. It's the little things.

We stayed for 5 nights around Christmas. Hosts were nice, but often seemed stressed and preoccupied and many times hard to find. We struggled to locate many little things
(e.g. a knife to cut limes for our evening drink, ice - which is very scarce & not in room and not very plentiful at B&B). The telescope on the deck looks great, but it didn't work, and we ran out of lotion and it wasn't refilled for 2 days (very dry in Sedona).

The location is nice & very beautiful with outstanding views. We liked the rustic simplicity of the home. The bed was extremely comfortable & our favorite thing about the place. We liked the room design/decor, but the bathroom was small and nothing to brag about. The hot tub was nice, but couldn't be set above a certain temperature that I found too cool.

Breakfasts were very good, homemade, healthy and on a few days, excellent. But, they were long affairs and didn't start until 8:30, so it made a late start to the day's activities. It was late morning before we got out and going. The coffee that was ready earlier, had to be fetched downstairs (we went outside and down stairs, using a key to get in the main area). The coffee cups were very small and had to be refilled with another trip down the stairs.

The walls unfortunately are paper thin and we could hear conversations in the next room. This was a big turn off for us.

The hosts do try to orient you to the area & give you a great overview the first full day after breakfast, and they give you some good hiking/shopping/eating tips. However, they also have their own agenda and recommendations were quite varied. In fact, it was difficult to find good food in Sedona. We had our best meal in the area at the Grand Canyon's El Tovar.

It was our wedding anniversary during our stay, and we asked about where to go for a special meal/evening, but one host's recommendation was an expensive place that had terrible reviews (Enchantment Resorts main restaurant). The other host told us the next day he wouldn't suggest it. We canceled. We noticed preferential treatment and attention was given to some couples' needs over others. I'm not sure why. We certainly stayed longer than most did. Hosts never really acknowledged our anniversary in any way. That was disappointing. Even another guest/couple remembered on our day.

I don't mean to be picky. I'm giving a 4 out of 5 stars, but there's a fair amount of work to do to reach 5 star quality. The owners/hosts do encourage guests to rate them on Trip Advisor and I heard from other couples they give discounts for return guests. That's another thing I love about B&Bs - all the other guests you have breakfast with. They were all interesting and nice.

By the way, if you like hiking, there's a nice little trail beyond their parking area that gives you some pretty views. We also enjoyed a couple of the vortex hikes (airport mesa and cathedral rock) and Doe Mountain. We hiked a lot and enjoyed seeing the area. Just don't expect great food and be willing to pay a lot for mediocre. If you golf - Sedona Golf Resort was the nicest course.

We spent two nights at Sedona Views last week and it was such a treat! First the location is perfect. It's right near Oak Creek Canyon and very close to the main route with the shops and restaurants. We were met by Candyce, who was so nice. She showed us to our room after showing us our own private deck with great views and our own hot tub. The room was beautiful! The floors are amazing, the bed is beyond comfortable and luxurious and the bath was so inviting and well done. There is a place on the floor for tea and drinks and there are snacks and drinks served in the dining room in the afternoon. You can step out of the dining room onto the shared deck w/ a telescope for great star gazing. Every afternoon Sam and Candyce make the bread for the next days breakfast. Breakfast is served at 8:30 every morning and it is an event. Sam loves to cook and create recipes and the food that is served is better than anything you can get in a 5 star restaurant. Too bad they don't do dinner! It was a joy to eat there. All in all, we can't say enough great things about Sedona Views. The beds, the food, the location and the people make this THE place to stay.

Sam and Irith are gracious and attentive hosts. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and they left a personal note for him in our room. They are knowledgeable about the area and can help you find things to do to enjoy your stay in Sedona.

We came out to Arizona because of a work sales meeting for my husband's company being held in Phoenix. We decided to come a few days early for some R & R, but the conference resort was booked up due to the AU-OSU football game. We didn't know where to go, but a few people recommended Sedona. We made a quick visit to tripadvisor and decided on the Sedona Views B&B. What a great decision! We cannot say enough about what wonderful hosts Sam, Irith and Candyce were. The breakfasts were incredible, every little detail was attended to and Sedona itself was incredibly beautiful. We got our orientation with Irith after our first breakfast and what a wealth of information we received! It was a little overwhelming, incredibly helpful and just made me wish I had written every word down. It's so helpful to have an inside track to what's really great in the area you're visiting. We hope we can come back someday!

My wife and I recently spent five days at Sedona Views over the Christmas holidays. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we had high expectations and we couldn't have been more pleased. From the moment we arrived, Candyce, Sam and Irith were so welcoming and so gracious that we felt really special and in the company of friends.

Our room, Memories and Moonbeams, was spacious, beautifully decorated and had an exquisite view of Cathedral Rock from the private deck. The breakfasts were superb! Served in the Southwest decorated dining room with views of the red rocks, the breakfasts alternated from sweet to savory. Our innkeepers announced each course with obvious pride. Every breakfast was a culinary treat.

However, what makes this bed and breakfast stand out from the others is the hospitality of the innkeepers. We learned so much from Sam's orientation to Sedona and we appreciated his tips concerning sights to see, restaurants and places to shop. We were particularly grateful for his expertise in mapping out our route to the Grand Canyon, following a less travelled entrance that afforded us magnificent views of the canyon approach.

We even got to observe snow on the red rocks as a winter storm dropped a couple of inches on the area overnight. We had a magical stay.

We hated to leave Sedona Views but we look forward with great anticpation to a future visit. This is truly an extraordinary bed and breafast.

This was our first stay at Sedona Views and our third staf with Sam and Irith. We previously stayed at Boots and Saddles and had an opportunity to stay at their other location, Sedona Views. The location is a 10+, very peaceful, private and scenic views all around you. We loved it so much we already have our next trip booked to go back to Sedona Views!
