“Great value and ambience outside of Sedona”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

We feel fortunate to have found Junipine and had a great stay there with our children. Did a lot of reading of reviews ahead of time and specially requested a room with updated decor and better wireless (it was right near the lobby where the router is). Although our room/condo was still not exactly modern in decor, it was very comfortable, everything was in good condition, and we were so pleased with how much space we had! We had a 2 bedroom with loft and a large patio deck. The hotel staff was very accommodating of our request and was terrifically efficient. We got great use out of the living room fireplace, although we did have trouble with the bedroom fireplace which put out a ton of smoke. We were subsequently told that for the smaller fireplaces, we should build the fire slowly so the chimney has time to heat up, which would have been good info to have before we smoked the place out!

Junipine is about a 10-15 minute drive outside of Sedona proper, so you should be prepared for that. There isn't really anything nearby in terms of food or markets, except for a tiny staples-and-chips-only sort of gas station, and a hotel restaurant which is just okay. The cellular service is nonexistent at the hotel and for quite a drive around it in either direction, since the hotel is nestled right up against the rock face.

It's a beautiful property, beautiful scenery. We liked it and would recommend it to other families as a great value for a comfortable space.

There are free movies to borrow from the lobby. Nice little creek running through the hotel grounds. Very peaceful and quiet.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at The Junipine Resort in Sedona, Arizona. This place was more then we ever could have expected. First of all, Sedona is a wonderful destination in itself but, The Junipine was a perfect ending to a perfect day. Nestled in a Pine forest a few miles from Sedona with a creek running behind it. The rooms are over 900 sq. ft. so very comfortable for a couple or a family. 2 fireplaces, huge master suite & another bedroom in a loft. Nice sized kitchen & plenty of deck space. Wished we could have stayed there for a week instead of 1 night. Definitely plan on returning.

The problem with reading too many reviews is that you know what all to expect. So the element of surprise is gone. Having said that we had unit 14 and it was absolutely beautiful and what we wanted. Spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen dining/living room, 2 TV's etc. We had a baby with us and they offered us both crib and high chair which was really useful. They have tons of DVD's which you could borrow for your stay. The only issue is that its a bit outside the city - 10-15 mins drive and if you are stuck behind a slow driver its even more.
I would definitely recommend this resort.

We've stayed twice now at the Junipine. The first time was on our honeymoon. We booked a little get-away trip last weekend and chose the Junipine because the prices were decent considering what it normally costs.

Can't ask for much more. Huge rooms with fully stocked everything. We burned all the wood in our fireplaces, so they brought us another bundle. It's quiet, it's secluded, it's a wonderful peaceful stay. Fireplace in the bedroom was amazing, and the sound of Oak Creek rushing was serene.

It's on our top places to stay now that we've been there twice. Thanks guys! We'll see you again!

At Junipine Resort, they go out of their way to make you feel special. Our condo faced the mountains and Oak Creek below, and we enjoyed sitting out in our hot tub under the late afternoon Sedona sky.
The accommodations were perfect with ample room for the four of us, a well-stocked kitchen of plates and cooking utensils, and very comfy beds and pillows. Each night we made a fire with the complimentary daily supply and ended our day of excursions in the area.
An added plus is the Navajo sales areas both to the south and the north of us. We liked best (and spent the most) at the one north of the resort on top of the mountain. Great view of Oak Creek Canyon there too!

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. Our room was so relaxing, #21. From our patio we could hear the creek below and listen to the many birds. We loved listening to the fire crackle at night while watching one of the free movies available to guests. We had a problem with our TV, maintenance was sent immediately and it was taken care of. Bed and furniture were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. Some have stated they had problems with wifi, we didn't, but we also didn't use them very often while there. It's location is about 8 miles from town.

A return visit for my wife and me. This time, creek side in Unit 10. This unit is very spacious and was recently updated with an entirely new kitchen.....new appliances and counters. Wood burning fireplaces in the living room and bedroom made the evenings very comfortable.
It is so nice to stay in Sedona in the "slow season". The solitude at Junipine was outstanding with the only sound coming from Oak Creek just a few feet away from our unit. A hiking trail is available right over the bridge.
We did make the mistake of not calling housekeeping after our first night. If you don't call you do not get new towels, trash pick up. We got all of the items covered on our return at 7:00 PM.
I would HIGHLY recommend!!

Room Tip: Creek view is more expensive

Dear BrokenAMKE,

Thank you for your repeat patronage. We love #10, as it was recently remodeled, and it offers a great view with solitude that many of our guests appreciate. There are some other creekhouses I would love to show you during your next visit. Please let me know if you would like to take a few minutes for a property tour.
