It is great to see the milky way with the naked eyes, learn about the constellation, and see nebulas in the telescope. Wished we can see Jupiter but not the right time. Really not suitable for kids in Nov. Too cold.

This is something you do not see on many to do lists when on vacation. Our guide was really good and well informed. We sat in a open field at a high school in complete darkness. And let me tell you its dark there. It was also cold the night we went but the hosts were prepared. That had heavy coats for us all and blankets!! We all took turns looking at the stars and got a quick all around education. Is it my cup of tea, not really but it was a cool thing to do at night since there is little to do at night in Sedona besides eat.

This experience was okay, but we were expecting more powerful telescopes based on the website information.

If you go, be prepared for the cold. They offer parkas, but you will also want several layers underneath... and hats, gloves and good socks. We got pretty cold during the lecture and several people left. Might help to break up the time so that folks are getting up to look in the telescope more frequently (i.e., spaced in between lecture topics) instead of ganging the viewing at the end.

What is crazy about Sedona, they limit their lighting severely.
One cannot even see grocery stores or any other amenities or
services, as lighting is kept to such a minimum. Therefore stargazing is a pastime that is incredibly easy and well worth doing here in this beautiful country.
