Milena and Mike welcomed us to their quiet property of four cabins for couples located in
a beautiful, wooded area across from Oak Creek. Our cabin possessed numerous decorative
touches and conveniences that gave it a cozy, homelike atmosphere that we found extremely relaxing during our 3 night stay. Our hosts provided information and answered questions on
all surrounding historic sites, hiking trails, and eateries. They loaned us ski poles since we
forgot our walking sticks. Board games, books, and music CDs were available as well. The
lack of an internet connection was a plus; it allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, great hiking trails, and each other's company without interruptions.

Sedona itself is magical. Even more magical, though, is The Canyon Wren. From Melina's expert attraction recommendations, to Mike's muffins and best brownies on the planet, to four charming cabins, to coy and Honey, the bear, The Canyon Wren is a "can't miss" experience . . . perfect in every way.

“Simply Spectacular Surroundings and Hosts”

The Canyon Wren exceeded our expectations in so many different ways. From the initial conversation with the owners to the departure, we were treated like dear friends. They indeed take pride in their provisions and work diligently to see to it that their guests have the best possible experience.
The cabin was beautifully laid out (we stayed in the Wild Rose - each of the four cabins are named) so that it was spacious, yet quaint and cozy. It was impeccably clean with comfortable furniture, warm lighting, furnished with everything we needed (plenty of seating inside and out, small appliances, kitchenware, hair dryer, fan), and extra amenities like the fireplace, board games, jetted spacious tub, and hummingbird feeders in the windows. The cabins are situated adjacent to a beautiful red rock edifice with generous tree cover, plush and meticulously tended landscaping, and a river across the street. There is a fair amount of traffic during the daylight hours, but the noise did not bother us. It is conveniently located about six miles north of town with scenic views on the way in.
My wife and I had a wonderful, romantic getaway and can't thank our new friends enough for the experience. I generally prefer to always stay at different places but this is one that I won't be able to resist staying again. I can't wait to go back!

“Cozy cabin, well located, with gracious hosts”

We had a wonderful 4 night visit at Cabin Wren. Milena & Mike are terrific hosts: they make everyone feel at home, give great advice on hikes, restaurants, etc., and provide tasty, imaginative breakfasts. We had breakfast pizza, breakfast enchiladas and breakfast quiche, all served with fresh fruit, home made muffins, and tea or coffee. Cabin Wren is in a great location, 1/2 mile from Slide Rock with easy drives to fantastic hiking.

“Excellent accommodations and recommendations”
Reviewed 25 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Really enjoyed a 3 night stay here, along scenic Oak Creek Canyon. Spotless little cabins, hot breakfasts, great suggestions for dinner. Your hosts are experts on the local area, having lived here for many years. As experienced hikers, they know the trails and can offer you detailed suggestions and route maps. It's a short, curvy drive to town. We liked the quiet - away from busy, touristy Sedona town. Some guests miss the television sets, which are not provided. (We did not). You can get wireless access in town if you need it. In our cabin, the bedroom was upstairs, so you would need to be able to climb stairs.

“Canyon Wren A GEM of a B&B”

We stayed with Mike and Milena in September, and we are so longing for another great time away from from home. When we arrived we were greeted by one of the staff (apologies we can't recall her name), and we received a great greeting and layout of the property. We stayed in Wild Rose for our time there, and the room was beyond our expectations. A fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting area, and a loft bedroom with a bed that was comparable to any at home. The property was well cared for with many flowers and fruit trees (did I see a couple figs?). If brownies are your favorite, this may be the place for you. Mike makes the best brownies I have ever sunk my teeth into...just saying. As for recommendations for sights, hikes, food etc, Mike and Milena were spot on! The inn is easy to get to, and relatively quiet. Sunsets are TREMENDOUS! I guess the main attraction to the inn for us was the fact that we had never been there and we were made to feel like we had been coming there for years! GREAT hosts and GREAT property! If going to Sedona stay nowhere else!

“More than a B & B”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

This was the best accommodation of our whole USA trip. It's a place to totally escape from the outside world, surrounded by gorgeous scenery and excellent and plentiful hikes. The cottages are very large and not only have all the necessary equipment, including gas BBQ, to self-cater, but also have all the added touches to make it feel homely. Sharing wonderful breakfasts on the patio with other guests and the hosts was a great way to start the day. Mike & Milena gave us so much information about hikes, restaurants, shops, banks and also about the local wildlife. Nothing was too much trouble for them and it was obvious that they really enjoyed making everyone feel welcome.
