Los Abrigados has two locations, the main resort near Talaquepaque, and the Lodge in the center of town. Hands down the Lodge was the most beautiful, cleanest, most private, most scenic, and most accomodating place in the area. We woke up in a chain hotel, found it was undesirable, and spent the morning peeking into rooms of different hotels. When we got to the Lodge, the manager Susan was so sweet and helpful, and got us a perfect corner studio, with views that make you wonder if you've died and gone to heaven. Walk to everything, cool off in the pool after a day of hiking, then soothe your muscles in the hot tub at night surrounded by glowing, moon-lit red rocks.(Best benefit of Off-Season: very few kids!) Spanish style decor with fireplace and balcony! No need to go to any of the fancy shmancy resorts, which run over $250 a night usually. This one is all you'll ever need (we paid $100). Susan and the Los Abrigados Lodge lit the spark of our love affair with Sedona. Warning: You will never want to go home.
