“Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed 26 May 2010

My husband and I stayed at the Sedona Motel for 4 nights in May. We were very impressed with our room. It was quite spacious with a nice lay-out and was absolutely immaculate. The room had a mini-fridge, iron with ironing board, microwave, TV and hair-dryer. The bed was very comfortable and housekeeping did a great job every day. There was a nice patio area on the property where you could sit and have a drink with a great view of the red rocks.

Bill at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. When we checked in he gave us information regarding several restaurants in the area and a map of the town to help us get oriented. We ended up eating dinner at the Hideaway across the street on 2 nights and got a 20% discount because we stayed at the Sedona Motel. The dinners there were delicious and reasonably priced. We also ate at Ken's Creekside across the street and although it was a bit pricey, the food was excellent.

The location of Sedona Motel was perfect for us. We could walk to the main drag of uptown Sedona in 10 minutes and also to Tlaquepaque which is literally just down the road. Although it is located on a busy road (Highway 179), traffic noise was not an issue at all. I slept soundly every night and I am a light sleeper!

All in all I have no complaints and would definitely stay at Sedona Motel again.

A very nice family owned classic motel. Recently updated, the rooms are very attractive, with comfortable electric heat and special touches such as dimmer switches on some lights, gourmet in-room coffee service with clear glass mugs and a concealed TV set. Room was equipped with microwave & the refrigerator had a small freezer unit. The gentleman at the desk was very welcoming and helpful. He know all the local shops, restaurants and attractions. A good location, just up the road from Tlaquepaque.

WE loved this place - great value - you could cook stuff in your room in the microwave, lots of space. Older motel style but perfectly clean and comfortable - and great location right in the heart of Sedona. You could pay a fortune for a B&B all southwest themed etc and im sure that would be nice, but if you want a good value option which doesnt cut corners on service or cleanliness then check this place out. The guy at the front desk is super helpful - all in all a great stay

(our stay: April 2-4) Park your car right in front of your room, put your stuff away and then walk, walk and walk to anywhere; it is all just around the corner. In a place where parking is so hard to come by, it was so nice to be staying so centrally located. The main part of town with all the touristy shops, pink jeep tours, etc was just up the road…Tlaquepaque Square just down the street. We ate breakfast every morning at Ken’s Creekside, just across the street before heading out to 'play' amongst the Red Rocks. The owners of this place have made a little haven right on one of the main drags through Sedona (but traffic noise was not a problem in the room). There is an outside area to picnic at that has views of the Red Rocks. They keep maps to direct you every which way, and have menus of the local restaurants available to browse. Our room was very clean, as were the bathrooms. Our rug needed a bit of TLC, but if you don’t want a single stain on the rug, well, go somewhere else. The owners take an afternoon break from about 1300-1500 (they can always be reached by an emergency number they have posted). Bill even helped me arrange for a birthday cake for my son who turned 14 while we were visiting Sedona. The extra cot they let us use was actually very comfortable. I still shake my head in disbelief at how reasonably priced this motel was in an area that is known for its high prices.

I would stay here at the Sedona Motel again. Very simple and I liked that we could park right in front of the door. I like the location and it seemed like a good value. The man at the desk was very nice and helpful. We ate dinner across the street at the hideaway. Great italian food. Don't go if you are on weight watchers. But make sure you have some house dressing. Both the ranch and french were amazing.

HAd the occasion to staay at the Sedona Motel April 10-12. We found the Motel very well maintained as were the rooms. The location makes it very easy to to walk to Sedona downtown and attractions. The rooms were simple but very adequate as were the bathrooms. The patio at the end of the building was an excellent place to sit with a drink and watch the sunset.

Since the motel is located on the main "drag", the traffic noise was considerable into the evening but quiet during the night. I am not sure what it would be like in high season.

Overall a very good accomodation and location.

Dittos to Sweetgal65's comments. Other than the foot traffic stains at the door, the place was immaculate. Perfect location central to everything. Be sure to eat at the Hideaway across the street.
