“Nice place, good food, very knowledgable waiter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014

This place was recommended to us for their rattlesnake. They didn't have any rattle snake.

The place is split into two, we sat in the "posh" side. We were the only people in there at around 7pm on a week day.

The food was good if a little costly. The waiter was very keen to impress, lots of knowledge about the food, it's preparation etc... but couldn't help feeling he was just in it for the tips. Maybe that's just my Englishness!

I had the ribs and some of the local ales. Ales served chilled, but it was very hot outside.

With dozen and dozen of places to eat in the town, this is a good option if you're looking for something a little more... up market.

“Out of a lot of items”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

We went here to try rattlesnake and cactus fries. Although rattlesnake bites were on the menu, our waiter told us they'd been out for over a month. We got the appetizer sampler. The bison was really tough to chew. The cactus fries and fry bread were great.

“Service Slow, Food Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

After a 2 hr. Jeep tour we were pretty hungry. Our driver told us that he heard this was a good place to eat so we tried it. The cowboy server was very laid back. Service was pretty slow and the meal I received was not true to what was described in the menu. When finished eating we had to track down the waiter for the check. The food was average. The atmosphere was somewhat historical, as the floor boards of the original saloon were pulled up and replaced as walls. The original bar and fireplace still existed as well. We were told that the paintings, which were very nice, were painted by some famous cowboys. Can't say it was horrible, and would probably give the business a second chance for hope of having a more enthusiastic waiter.

“Great service and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

We came in from a long trip an hour before closing. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I ordered a chicken dish that was juicy and satisfying. The cost was on the higher side (our bill was about $85 for a chicken entree, a burger, two bourbon drinks and a margarita) but the portions were large and delicious.

“Don't let the name fool you”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

Ok: we saw one server dressed up as a Cowboy; but if this is how Cowboys eat, I want to be one! The mist that surrounds the outdoor dining spaces drew us in off the sidewalks in the over 100 degree heat. The Prickly Pear Margarita was a 'must have' (no excuse needed really!) and was lovely. The burgers are ginormous and cooked to specification. Their famous prickly pear fries were a must have. We actually came here 2 times and service was very good and the menu seemed to be suitable for all ages. Price seemed good for the quality of dishes served, but may be more expensive than other fast food restaurants & chains that seem too plentiful in Sedona.
