We were a little skeptical about staying here even after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. Sometimes motel/motor inn accommodations leave a lot to be desired. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a second (top) floor room, no elevator, at the end of the hotel near the main street. We were also near the stairs at that end of the hotel. Two issues that could have created noise during the night. But it didn't happen. We had a great view of the red rocks from the room. The room had two queen beds and was large and clean. There was a microwave and refrigerator which was handy. The continental breakfast was the standard fare -- hard boiled eggs, sweet rolls, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit -- but it was good and plenty to eat. There is a small pool. The staff were friendly. The reception area had lots of tourist brochures on hand. We'd recommend you stop at the Park Ranger station about 1 1/2 miles south of the hotel on the east side of SR-179 for trail information and passes. The hotel is in Oak Creek Village about a 15-20 minutes drive south of Sedona. Accommodations are expensive in Sedona. As we were sightseeing around the area so we didn't need to be right in the center of Sedona. We would definitely stay again if returning to the area.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms. Ask for one with a view. We had 216. Great views.

I booked the room on-line, and then made a mistake and arrived a day early.
The manager was most helpful in helping to correct my mistake.
The room was large, clean with good beds. The complementary breakfast was adequate while the lady managing the food was also most helpful.

Requested a quiet room on the first floor and questioned the noise level at booking. Assured it was quiet and back from the road when I brought up the subject. My room was next to the coke machine, ice machine and laundry room. The fridge in the room made a noise all the time and made a special noise when it went off. The room was situated behind wheelchair parking. This motel is situated at the corner of a traffic circle. Lot of trucks! The jewellery I had purchased disappeared when I was staying there. When I commented about the room on arrival they said that was all they had at present. They should not have promised what they could not deliver as I arrived at 1:30 pm.

Nice "base camp" motel for further exploration of Sedona area. Though motel is billed as "Sedona" it's actually in Oak Creek, a village about 8 miles south. It will take you a good 15 minutes to drive to/from downtown Sedona, between all of the roundabouts, speed limit, traffic and drivers going slowly to gape at the gorgeous red rocks. Beware driving on the roundabouts, as many drivers have not yet mastered them.

Bright and spacious room, with comfortable beds. Outdoor pool is unheated, and thus too cold for swimming during our stay, even for us from Minnesota! Continental breakfast was good, but indoor dining area only has 4 tables, so be prepared for limited seating!

Room Tip: Request a 2nd floor room to avoid noise from neighbors upstairs, and a room on the pool side, unless you want to see a line of cars try to navigate the roundabout on the corner.
