Expected more-just average. Nothing really special-straight forward character, no built in closet, two drawer dresser (1 dresser didn't pull out fully) bathroom light and vent on same switch. Cold breakfast. Corner location. Motel located outside of Downtown, West, Cottonwood Sedona.

This was a perfect spot for our stay. We were here for 5 nights to hike and bike in the Sedona area. It's located in Oak Creek and is a very quiet location. There are some good restaurants nearby. The view is very good indeed. The room was very clean and large. The service was wonderful and the staff was friendly. It is not a fancy place, but is a great value. There are trails nearby. The rooms open to the outside. Breakfast is included.

Room Tip: The rooms open to the outside, which feels less safe than a hallway. We were on the second floor (t...

We stayed here twice - on the way out and again between two and three weeks later coming back to Phoenix during a circular trip through Arizona and Utah parks in May/June 2012. The prices were very good for the area ($81.56 per night), including a quite reasonable breakfast.

The location was also very convenient, with gas, provisions and restaurants all within a few minutes walk: and some very good walks either from the Inn itself (Bell Rock & Courthouse Butte were only a short distance) or just a short drive up the road toward Sedona.

We had an upper floor room on both occasions with views towards Courthouse Butte and the surrounding area. The room was spacious, with two queen beds and the usual private facilities off at the end. There was plenty of drawer space and adequate hanging space. The air con worked well - although a little noisy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and gave us a 10% discount voucher for a good local restaurant. For a short stay or an overnight stop it was excellent value and would be difficult to beat. Oh - and there is a swimming pool (useful when the temperature is between 36C & 43C!!)

Room Tip: Worth asking for an upper floor room with "red rock views"

I recently spent 3 nights in Sedona and stayed at The Views Inn. While this is a motel-type establishment, with two floors exterior entry, the room was quite large and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and new appointments. This shows a concerted effort by the management and staff to keep the quality of service high. For the price of a King Room ($80), I consider this an exceptionally good value. Another benefit for anyone wishing to be away from the heavier tourist areas, The Views Inn is closer to the Red Rocks walking/hiking trails, near Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock, making access to these sites easy. There are nice restaurants nearby and the area is safe. Of special note, the hotel staff found a item that I left behind in my room upon departure and are making arrangements to mail it back to me in Virginia. I will definitely stay at The Views Inn during my next visit to Sedona.

We stayed here in August 2012 and were greatly impressed. We returned in February 2013. Nothing had changed. This property is a few years old and is not a "luxury hotel". What is offeres is friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms and facility, quiet location, safe area, nice continental plus breakfast, great view of Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock, and all at a very reasonable price. Ample shopping and golf is nearby. The only reason to stay anywhere else in the Sedona area is if you want to impress someone with how much more you spent.

Room Tip: The second floor is the place to be.

We made a last minute, unplanned trip to Sedona from Phoenix. We forgot it was both Valentine's Day and President's Day weekend. We planned to stay somewhere "nicer" but everything we tried to get into was booked so we stayed here only because we got in. The rooms were super clean and they upgraded me from 2 queens to a king for no additional costs. It wasn't in the heart of Sedona but it was a beautiful drive in and much quieter than if we had stayed in town. For the money we payed we felt it was a great value and our room had a mini-fridge and microwave too. We didn't feel like we got less for spending less and I would definitely recommend this place to a budget conscious traveler.

We spent one night at the views and would definitely would do it again.
The cons:
It took a little effort, getting the staff to reboot the wifi system twice before we could get connected, but they were friendly and accommodating so it was not a big problem.
The room key would not work after we returned from dinner and we had to get it re-set.
The pros:
The bed was comfortable.
The room heater was quieter than many I have experienced, so it was easier to sleep.
The room was also quiet without much traffic noise.
The room was large with a microwave, refrigerator and big screen tv.
Things were clean and well maintained, nice crisp sheets.
I was glad to see they have implemented water saving practices that are lacking in many motels. There was a water saving shower head that performed well so you got a good shower and a 1.2 gallon per flush toilet.. Ok, I'm a tree huger, but I like to see those things!
I also noticed a free laundry facility that I did not use. Soap provided too.
Breakfast was adequate and appreciated

I would not hesitate to go back to this motel.
