“We loved our stay at Sedona Rouge”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

We stayed at the Sedona Rouge for two nights. We booked one night and enjoyed Sedona so much we booked a second night after we were there on the first day. We had to switch rooms because our first night room was already booked. The Red Rock Rooms are the best. Both Rooms were very nice. What we liked best about the Sedona Rouge was the staff. Everyone from the Check in Personnel to the Restaurant staff and especially the pool attendant, Kyle went over the top to accommodate us. The only drawback is the resort fee which brings up the cost of the room $19 per night for 2 waters and WIFI that did not work on the first night. But yes we would stay again!

Room Tip: Red Rock Views on 2nd and 3rd floor.

Very nice suite with a view of rock formations. We really enjoyed our stay. For the price, the sofa should have been comfortable. But everything else was fabulous. One other gripe, the mandatory spa fee. But maybe that's common in Sedona.

This was the perfect boutique hotel centrally located and easy to find in Sedona. While it was on the main street, it was quaint and quiet and included a lovely roof top area with warmers that overlooked the pool with the mountain views behind it.
We were on the third floor and enjoyed the spaciousness from the vaulted ceilings, as well as the warmth of the fireplace each night. The room was charming and comfortable. All the areas of the hotel/grounds we saw were very well maintained and meticulous. The staff was very pleasant and helpful while taking care of any request and offering suggestions for hikes and driving directions.
There is a restaurant on the main floor and the food was absolutely delicious! I believe there was a happy hour each night as well. There was live music both nights we were there and it was actually very good. We were not successful in finding much night life, so were happy that there was an option right on the property. I would definitely stay here again.
Also, it was central to excellent hiking and all of Sedona's energy vortexes.

Room Tip: The 3 floor was great because of the vaulted ceilings. We asked to not face the street. There is a...

Room is configured incorrectly, with the desk directly in front of the TV, and a large unused space near the window. Shower needs big upgrade. Counter top in bathroom is clumsy and appears unfinished. Ask for an upper room, as the noise form above is not pleasant. Not enough parking for guests upon late arrival. Once these are fixed, I would rate this hotel much higher, as the staff is friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Upper rooms, away from street.

We had one night to spend in Sedona. We wanted to take advantage of the spa services and get in a morning hike. When we arrived the room wasn't ready (we were early) but we got right in for a massage and got services booked for my wife for the next morning. The spa and the spa staff were excellent. After getting inot our room we took advantage of the free appetizers which were so good we bought a second serving. The kitchen was very accomodating to my wifes allergies and altered a dish to her specs. The waitress even offered us her tickets (as a gift) to the last film of the festival becasue she wasn't able to go! It had rained pretty hard the day before we got there so our morning hike was pretty muddy. When we got back one of the maintenance staff got me to a hose bib on the back of the property so I could clean our shoes. He even offered to help me with them! The dinner recommendations were excellent and the knowing we were there for just the day and a half they directed us to the best morning hike to see sunrise over the valley. I HIGHLY recommend this lodge. We are already looking forward to going back for a longer stay next year!

About a year ago, I had a compression injury to my neck in Norway. Since that time, I need periodic massage therapy to improve circulation and reduce pain in my c-spine. One of the Sedona Rouge therapists, Girija, was recommended to me for her professional and effective therapy work. I scheduled a 90 minute session, and was greeted by a friendly receptionist and shown to the men's changing area, complete with a steam sauna. The sauna was a great start to the treatment, followed by the excellent work by Girija. I have had my neck worked on by several therapists in the past and even chiropractors, but none have resulted in the pain reduction and increased range of motion as the work Girija did. She also took the time to share several exercises I could do on my own to improve stability in the c-spine and he suggested using two tennis balls in a sock to provide a mild traction and relieve muscle tension, etc.

The spa facility is professional and clean, but the work by Girija made all the difference.

When we arrived the checkin clerk did not tell us there were coupons for free afternoon appetizers and didn't really tell us where anything was at, the features and benefits. It did surprise me that it was right on a Main Street. Somehow from the pictures I thought it was going to be in more rural area. The room was very clean cute outdoor patio with chairs. The restaurant Reds was very nice and tasty.
